BB's Preseason prediction

1. Bier Markt - Studs.
2. Her Majesty's Dragons - Dragons were forced to get silver last season after three straight golds. Don't let the silver fool anyone as this is one of the better teams in the land.
3. Uh Oh! HOOD gone Casual - Are we ever going to see the HOOD bust through that East door and get to a title game? They've gotten much better and look to be ready to prove they can win the big one.
4. Full Blast Trainwrecks - A strong regular season was whisked away by the first round loss to the DOTS. I expect another strong showing from Full Blast who have seem to have their footing under them to make a run at the monopoly HDM has had.
5. Grave Diggers Union - The Union has been hit or miss in their playoff pushes but this season I don't think they'll need to come down to the wire to secure a spot.
6. French Toast Pirates - Looks like this is the Pirates lost hurray with this roster. They were a playoff team last season and they'll get there again this year.
7. Blatz Beer Barbarians - I think triple B will be fighting with several teams to lockdown a playoff spot. Coming off a nine loss season won't be easy but they'll have a shot at getting that playoff birth.
8. The LEGION'S Alpha Quadrant - Looked solid in kicking off last season but stumbeled down the stretch to a 7-9 finish. With the weakening of the overall conference that alone should give them a few more wins and that will have them fighting for a playoff spot.
9. DIABLO DOTS - Most of the dots are in the second season decline and this just isn't the same old DOTS team we've grown accustom to.
10. Dexter's Dark Passengers - new team so not overly familiar with them and need a few CP games to get up to speed.
11. PK's Sexy Canadian Dinosaurs of Love - new team so not overly familiar with them and need a few CP games to get up to speed.
12. Neel Saints - new team so not overly familiar with them and need a few CP games to get up to speed.
13. The Durruti Column - new team so not overly familiar with them and need a few CP games to get up to speed.
14. Rocky Mtn Gunslingers - new team so not overly familiar with them and need a few CP games to get up to speed.
15. Sofia Spiders - Sofia is back but they've brought a stick to a gun fight as they roster isn't close to being there. There will be a lot of routes and they struggle through the season.
16. Heisenberg Blues - A lot of holes and CPU dots on the roster and that will only spell trouble once the season begins. I'd not expect a lot of W's but a lot of singing of the blues this season.

1. Detroit Muscle - The defending champs return and showed everyone seeding means nothing as they were the five seed and traveled in all four games to bring home the gold. Expect a strong defense of their title this season and say a little prayer for the Wolverines while your at it - they need it.
2. Final Boss - Donk always has a top flight team and this season will be no different. I think the West is open and Boss will be looking to get Donk to a championship game.
3. B. O. S. S. - Have been a solid 13-3 each of the two seasons since returning to CP but have yet to get out of the second round. They'll try to tempt fate and get to the CC but it won't be an easy task.
4. West Morgan Rebels - The Rebels have changed sides but not sure if this was the season to do it. WMR had some strong success and we'll have to see if it carries over to the West.
5. Twin Peaks - Rube prefers to play the underdog roll and we'll see if his Peaks team can rebound from their playoff loss last season.
6. Running Gag - Should be intersting as this team could be higher or lower depending how teams respond to the new age QB rushing teams. Odds say most forget to GP against it and others will so I'd expect an 11-12 win season here.
7. YOU'RE DEAD TO ME - Ranked below the Peaks so that should fire Sugar up. TO ME or not to me, that is the question. This team busted through to the CC game in their first season so we'll see if the success carries over to year two.
8. New Jersey Jets - The Jets have been up with the big boys for two seasons but have yet to cash in on a playoff win. They may be a much better team than the 8th hole as time will tell.
9. S.Florida Killer Pythons - There's going to be a very good team or two on the West not making the playoffs and another poor start from the Pythons will have them on the outside looking in.
10. The Bus Drivers - They'll get a few of the rushing QB teams early and that may very well be their season. The Drivers should push hard for a playoff spot in the loaded West (NEVER THOUGHT I'D BE SAING "Loaded West").
11. San Onofre Isotopes - New team but with Jack and jverser they should be pushing many teams for a playoff spot.
12. Chocolate Blaze - Another team back that should be pushing for a playoff spot and I got them as S35 and 10-6 in their last stint up here.
13. Sin City Dream Team - Another new team that looks ready for a playoff push.
14. Austin Longhorns - A playoff team last season and certainly has what it takes this year but will find the sledding much tougher.
15. Montenegro Meat - Meatbomb will love the underdog roll in trying to prove me wrong but overall with the conference every game will be important and this could also be a solid team on a playoff quest.
16. Houston Vikings - They were last up in S42 where they went 0-16 and lost most games 255-0. Going to go out on a limb here and say they'll do much better this season.

Sadly, haven't seen anything yet to prove you wrong. Another season, another crawl out of bad chemistry purgatory. West is too damned good right now.

I'll do these occasionally during the season but I don't have the exitement I usually have kicking off a season. Just a little sick and bored of the game at the moment so you'll need to bear with me until I can find some mojo or someone else takes the passing of the torch to do these weekly. I'm not pumped enough to chuck on the website so the thread will have to do for now.

PLAYERS OF THE WEEK

OFFENSE
Blatz Beer RB Tiqi Barber ran with authority in assisting BBB to a 35-30 upset of the New Jersey Jets. Barber didn't tear it up in yards ending the night with only 64 on his 18 rushes but the RB did cross the goaline three times for TD's including two in the second half.

DEFENSE
Detroit Muscle DE Vapor Trail had an enormous impact in the 33-20 win over PK's. The end recorded seven tackles but more importantly ravaged the passing attack of PK by getting five sacks on the evening.

SPECIAL TEAMS
Final Boss returner Jules Winnfield. Boss' O was struggling somewhat in the 26-17 win over the Neel Saints but Jules came through in the fourth quarter by returning a punt 72.5 yards to help ignite a 17-0 run to close out the game.

WEEK 2 PREDICTIONS

WESTERN

Sin City Dream Team vs. San Onofre Isotopes - I hate to pull out the coin toss on the first game but still don't know much about these two. Coin toss says Isotopes and its never been wrong to dates...24-20.

Running Gag vs. The Bus Drivers - Gag was anything but suffocated in week one with the QB's accounting for 22 rushing TD's. The QB's won't get as many TD's as they did in week one but the Drivers will be all over the road and not be able to move the ball (who would have thought - a rushing QB team with a stellar D)...48-13.

Montenegro Meat vs. Chocolate Blaze - Both of these two gave it up in bunches in week one so this could be a high scoring affair. Vanilla fan myself but I'll go with a little chocolate this week...31-30.

Final Boss vs. New Jersey Jets - The Jets need to bounce back but Boss isn't the team to lick your wounds against. Look for Final's O to get untrack here with the Jets just not being able to put up enough to keep up...42-23.

Detroit Muscle vs. B. O. S. S. - On paper its a good one and having played and lost to BOSS last week the Muscle will be in for a fight. Look for a defensive slugfest between these two with the Muscle getting one big offensive play to win...16-13.

Austin Longhorns vs. Twin Peaks - Rube's off destroying the environment so the team will do well but the Longhorns won't be a pushover and will have some fight in them - just not enough...27-20.

S.Florida Killer Pythons vs. West Morgan Rebels - Rebels have to be shaking their collective heads after being dismanteled by a second season decline team - I'm scratching my own head. I'll go with the Pythons as I expect a little more out of them without such poor chemistry as they had last season...31-28.

Houston Vikings vs. YOU'RE DEAD TO ME - TO ME or not to me (yeah, I think I used that one already last season but who remembers). The Vikes got blanked and gave up 75 but they'll do much better this week although the YDTM ground game will prove too much in the end...27-10.

EASTERN

Bier Markt vs. Her Majesty's Dragons - BM struggled last week coming down the homestretch and the last time these two played it was just ugly. HMD wouldn't mind seeing BM go to 0-2 and I don't think it farfetched as HMD may just roll...38-10 (maybe this will fire Drew up).

Heisenberg Blues vs. Full Blast Trainwrecks - The Blues gave up 210 rushing yards in week one and I expect Full Blast to surpass that total this week in running by Heisenberg....59-7.

DIABLO DOTS vs. French Toast Pirates - The DOTS didn't look so old in their win and if the Pirates can't slow the run they'll find themselves in trouble. Look for the DOTS to pull out another win here...34-24.

Blatz Beer Barbarians
vs. Dexter's Dark Passengers - Wish I had my coin toss but when you have beer in your name on a toss up I'm going with it every time. Look for BBB to get their second W on the season...23-20.

Rocky Mtn Gunslingers vs. The Durruti Column - Hmmm, no coin toss and no beer names. The Column didn't appear to be ready for week one so I'm not leaning heavy on their preparation for this one - Gunslingers it is...24-10.

Uh Oh! HOOD gone Casual vs. Neel Saints - The Saints played final strong which to me they'll be playing UH OH strong as well. I do expect HOOD to get the win as the Saints won't be able to match them on the scoreboard...31-13.

Grave Diggers Union vs. PK's Sexy Canadian Dinosaurs of Love - PK's looked like a solid enough team in the opening loss and I was expecting more from the Union. Call me crazy but I've got PK winning this one...27-23.

Sofia Spiders vs. The LEGION'S Alpha Quadrant - Spiders are in for a long season and the Alpha Quadrant will see to that this week and they'll route Sofia...77-0.

BB's TOP FIVE TEAMS

1. Detroit Muscle - Got to be beat to lose that top spot.
2. Her Majesty's Dragons - Looking sharp early on.
3. Final Boss - Not overly impressive in week one so let's see how week two looks.
4. Running Gag - I think the D here will make this a special team.
5. Twin Peaks - Someone has to give Rube more than a lump of coal for Christmas (Merry X-Mas Rube).

Have a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays (all that noise).
