Pacific Pro Week 12 Showcase
Palembang Royally Drunken Monks @ The Dead Presidents
First of all, a little disclaimer, the winner of this game will take over the #2 spot in the Power Rankings, you can take that to the bank. Now, for this game I’m going to take a leap back to the past. In Week 7 of S43 these teams met and back then I said that what PRDM needed to do was shut down DP’s running game, not only did they not do that, they let DP score 63 points and could only muster 10 of their own. Surprise Surprise, if you want to win this game PRDM, you’re going to need to shut down DP’s running game. You’re going to have to find a way to avoid turning the ball over and frankly, not completely suck at running the ball yourself like your previous matchup; additionally, you’re going to have to button up the missed tackles. You know what…if there’s one thing people have learned about me through these write ups, it’s that I don’t mind being the source of motivation, in fact, I rather enjoy it. So here’s some motivation (maybe) for you PRDM, I’m SO SURE you can’t beat DP that if you win, I’ll rank you #1 over RN in next week’s Power rankings regardless of my ‘disclaimer’ for this matchup. DP, just do what you do.
Prediction: Dead Presidents 55-14
Oceania
Underdog Game of the Week

It’s difficult for me to look at either of these teams without viewing them in a certain light as underdogs, especially OFG who had a very inconsistent season. For $C$ it’s more about their post season habits, I feel like they need to continue to dominate in order to be viewed as a true threat, that doesn’t mean I’m taking them lightly however. For OFG, this is their opportunity to regain a Top 10 spot in the power ranking, this would be a significant victory. In fact it’s one of just 3 opportunities left to get a significant victory, as their next two games are against the Top 2 ranked teams in the Oceania Conference, WSR & RN (games scheduled in that order). For $C$ they still have to play WSR but then they don’t have a single other significant game remaining on their schedule, they should win out other than WSR (who knows how that game will go). $C$ has won most of their games by doing 2 things, #1: Being efficient offensively, not turning the ball over and doing well in both the running and passing games; #2: Creating turnovers. Both of these are things that OFG has absolutely got to avoid. Against Sumatra OFG actually created turnovers themselves, but they also fumbled the ball twice. On top of all that, they were not exactly dominant on the ground, while they did get over 100 yards, it took a combination of 3 HBs to eclipse the 150 mark and just a single TD. In this game they’re going to have to establish a running game and prove they can stop the opposing passing game, which despite creating 3 TO’s, they still could not do against Sumatra.
Prediction: $C$ 45-13
Outback Game of the Week
Williamsport Soul Reavers @ Sumatra Seahawks
WSR has got to just continue to do what they’re doing. They’re running the ball well, passing the ball well, and doing a much better job this year at tackling. Defensively, they have had a few games where they let HB’s run all over them, but they’ve also done a good job at times to create turnovers. Last week Sumatra threw 3 Interceptions and this week they’re facing the #1 Pass Defense & #3 Rush Defense in the Oceania Conference. Bottom line in this game is that both of these teams need to bring their A-Game and Sumatra has got to protect the Football.
Prediction: Sumatra Seahawks 24-21
