In full disclosure I was not sitting around at 7:30 p.m. CST waiting on scores. I went out with my some buddies to a local pub for some beers so this is written in a slight buzz so while spell checked the sentence structure may not make sense to anyone but me. Now, onto the write up and predictions for week two.
ROUND 2
The beat marches on and so do the Casual Pro playoffs into the second round. Round one is in the books and some teams are happy, some sad, and some pissed off. Makes for a long off season so go outside and get some fresh air and comeback in a week. The remaining seven teams all have sights aimed on the final prize - the goal .gif.
GLB SURVIVOR
73 entered and now we have a winner as firedog took home the title this season. Congrats firedog.
kidhammerhead finished second as the agent opted to take Twin Peaks over the Dot Fathers.
ROUND ONE RECAP
I thought there would be some higher seeds being bounced from the first round and the GLB God's read my prediction and denied the request as each of the higher seeds advanced.
We'll start with the defending champs as they made short work over the Raven by beating them 62-7. We'll stay in the finish the east as BM defeated FSS 41-13, and Her Majesty's escaped the upset by beating The Dirty Birds 17-15. That's why I didn't want to match up with mdb in the playoffs - dangerous team. The east had the same fate with only one close game out of the four as the Dot Fathers had to beat back the scrappy Twin team 20-13 while the Tets, Chiefs, and Musketeers all rolled winning by 25, 40, and 39, respectively. I do expect some pretty tight ball games in this round and the routes should be over or at least tempered to an extent.
Odd how Detroit/BM meet up and Moscow/DF - would have made for better TV if in the conference finals. jverser you dirty SOB.
DOT OF THE ROUND
Charlestown Chiefs RB Baby Carlos. Carlos was held down in the regular season loss (20-17) against the Maulers but sprang to life to be a one dot wrecking crew. Carlos, who's been insulted non-stop for several seasons (oddly enough by the GBM DC) carried the ball 19 times for 193.5 yards and three rushing TD's. This was about "in your face" as you can get.

ROUND TWO PREDICTIONS
Bier Market at Detroit Muscle
REGULAR SEASON MEETING
Detroit won the game 37-24 while at home using nachos. They get those very same nachos in this game as the host. The Muscle jumped out to a 20-10 halftime lead and stretched that to 27-10 entering the fourth. They pretty much traded blows in the fourth where BM won the round 14-10. Detroit sliced through the BM D racking up 542.5 yards (243 rushing and 299.5 passing). BM wasn't all that bad as they mustered 426 on the night but much of that came in the second half with the outcome already out of reach. You throw in last season's 59-3 conference title game loss and the Markt has a pretty big hill to climb.
WHY DETROIT MIGHT WIN
1. The offensive balance has been great but they've ran over BM in recent meetings.
2. The Muscle D has been huge in limiting points put up by BM.
3. The lone mind F they're putting on poor old BADGERBACKER.
WHY BIER MIGHT WIN
1. A do it for "aceor" - maybe he'll show up and help the Markt out.
2. We've had a little GLB luck in our two previous title runs so who's saying a little prayer to the GLB God's won't make some magic happen once again.
3. Lil Fast (aka Lil "Mother" Fucker mentioned removing equipment so that should help (thanks in advance Rube).
HOT DOTS
Detroit's RB Lil Fast tore up the Raven in the opening round rushing for 188.5 yards and three TD's on 23 carries. For Bier RB John. Riggins showed flashes of what he can do but didn't get the ball in round one enough carrying it nine times for 104 yards with two rushing TD's. As I noted BM has some work ahead of them if they plan on taking down the champs.

In the game the Tets won 20-10 and they had a big yardage advantage over the Chiefs (504.5 to 289.5) and the Chiefs managed to start the rally a little late as the Tets led 13-0 heading into the 4th quarter. A couple of Chiefs TD's and a Tet FG closed out the scoring. Historically the Chiefs have done well compared to their opponents in the fourth and this was no different but they couldn't get it done as the Tets held them down in the ground game to 46.5 yards (for those taking notes
WHY CHARLESTOWN MIGHT WIN
1. sunder and his BS during the regular season (he's like a politician and will disarm you only to shoot you point blank in the head as you turn to walk away).
2. Returner s32 FOKKER KR is the best in casual pro and will give the O great field position.
3. When that Chiefs ground game is going with Carlos look out below.
WHY FULL PERKY MIGHT WIN
1. The Tets D is not mentioned much but they're up there as one of the tops in the league.
2. The O has transcended a bit and shown they can and will pass the ball and not just try to run it down your throat all game.
3. dmet and Krille are just two agents we all love to hate.
HOT DOTS
I like both backs from each team as being the "go to guy" for the teams' offensive threats. For the Chiefs, RB Baby Carlos is coming off of a dot of the week from the playoffs gashing the GBm DC for some big yardage and three TD's. Carlos didn't get a ton of touches (10) but was bottled up for only 16.5 yards. Tets RB T'Challa cracked the 100 yard barrier in the regular season meeting (102 on 25 carries) while adding 13 broken tackles. One of these dots will have to step up for the O to operate and get moving.
WHAT WILL HAPPEN
That combined 30 scored in the regular season may be some high points in this game. I expect one long TD by one of the teams, one TD coming off a turnover, and then a FGfest. I do think the Tets will be able to win the turnover was and I don't expect the O's to be the dominate side of the ball but I do think the TD will come off the arm of Jan-Ove Waldner. Or, I could be wrong and this sucker will be 48-45 but I don't get that sense with these two. Should be a battle but I have the Tets winning this one.

REGULAR SEASON MEETING
The Fathers won the game 34-17 but used some nachos and this go around the Musketeers will get to use them. The score can be a little misleading as the Fathers got two defensive TD's off interception returns and that simply doesn't happen day in and day out. This wasn't an offensive showcase as Moscow got 338 yards while the Fathers only managed to get 281. The Musketeers led at the half 17-10 and were outscored 24-0 in the second half. This game has all the markings to be another defensive game as each running game was held in check (Moscow with 13 yards and the Fathers with 94). A spark from either O early could carry the team the rest of the way.
WHY MOSCOW MIGHT WIN
1. The two defensive TD's are lol and its a different game without those.
2. Have some great experience within the casual ranks and have one of the top records the past two seasons.
3. The ground game can cause some damage as shown in round one.
WHY DOT MIGHT WIN
1. Defense has been a strength of the team on the season and they'll need to be tip top against Moscow.
2. While BB is the voice of the franchise Drew does a lot behind the scenes so a clap clap for D rew (also for BM).
3. The Dots have "I AM LEGEND" in their corner.

The Musketeers RB Oscar Goldman was forgotten in the regular season meeting getting only nine carries for 20 yard but did get two short TD's. Goldman had a great game in round one carrying the ball 29 times for 315.5 yards while getting five TD's. The Fathers have been doing it on the ground as well and RB Tiki Bargber has help lead the charge. Barber struggled in the regular season meeting carrying the ball 16 times for only 49.5 yards. The Dot RB did have a solid outing in round one rushing for 132 yards on 18 carries while scoring two rushing TD's.

Breaking news - Detroit Muscle's cheerleaders were in a car crash as they exited the stadium tonight. Report are coming in that the mini bus just tipped over to its side and the bus wasn't even in motion. Just hearing eye witness reports it appears it may be a vehicle manufacturing error. On a side note, jverser is being sued for child support by three of the cheerleaders.

I agree that Avenger's issues with BB are a distraction - attacking BB every time he writes something that doesn't tell Avenger that he is a Legend (still funny every time I read that by the way) or awesome at this game Avenger goes off the deep end

I agree that Avenger's issues with BB are a distraction - attacking BB every time he writes something that doesn't tell Avenger that he is a Legend (still funny every time I read that by the way) or awesome at this game Avenger goes off the deep end
Had BB written the cheerleader post about Avenger instead of Vinman you know Avenger would have thrown another tantrum

Um, I said Fathers ain't that good and BB lost it, you bet your fucking ass he's a narcissist. Nothing more. Now they attack while on ignore.....let's keep pointing the finger at Venge though, so much fail by Red, dmet etc, they should have a disclaimer this forum isn't for 15 years olds......
