114 speed and 4 AEQ, you sir are a wizard. Most I could squeeze out on the VPB and stay 4 AEQ was 112 speed. But then again I'm not the best dot builder.

Well, my math has been known to be off before. I wouldn't call me a wizard just yet. He has 105 natural speed at level 48. ALGs will get him to 110 at this point, and I'm not finished training speed.

Nothing ventured, nothing gained!

All I wanna know at the end of the "project" is if the little extra bit of speed makes enough difference to warrant what other skills you had to sacrifice to get that speed (or, if you sacrificed AEQ). Just give an honest opinion when you think you know.

I definitely will, but I can't see more speed being a bad thing. Although, would I really notice the difference between 114 and 108? I guess I'll have to tell you that in a few seasons.

I think the speed is noticeable.
We already see him blasting by most (if not all) secondary players on deep post/flag style routes.

The issue is if it will be worth the difference in his ability to catch and hold the ball I think.

And right now, he's almost useless due to the lack of catching. That should be fixed by the end of next season, though.

Here's a play from the last game. He destroys his man, but there is a SS in position to make the tackle. If the QB holds onto the ball for another second, this could be a TD. Of course, all of that is contingent on the WR catching the ball, which isn't guaranteed at this point.

Part of what makes speed so desirable is it also effects acceleration. Logically thinking that more speed equals more acceleration but I ponder the possibility that, after a certain point, you simple cannot accelerate any (or significantly) faster. Example; A 100 natural speed dot probably accelerates faster than a 80 natural speed dot enough so that it is VERY noticeable. But a 110 speed dot, perhaps, doesn't accelerate enough more that it is even noticeable... if it even is something that occurs (perhaps the cut off point for acceleration is 100 natural speed... and that, anything beyond that number, simply accelerates at a constant rate comparable to any speed number beyond 100.) This is what I don't know so maybe someone else does.
