Thanks rayadamcik.

GG Shower - you got that passing TD right away and I said an "oh crap" to myself. Turned me over also and figured that would play out bigger - very nice season you all had and a real impressive playoff run.

So, since it appears we will be considered 4th in the league, will we be moved to pros or not? I am undecided about whether that's something we want and if the answer is no, that ends a lot of wondering.

4 seasons ago, I was about to restart and saw a whole lot of older players I had and my friends had without homes. They just fell in place to be a power running team with a 3-4 defense. Since then, we've had a great run. This was actually our worst rushing team and best passing team. I wish I had discovered this forum and MK's reports earlier. I just assumed it'd be dead.

I believe that is right - eight dropping down and they are only grabbing from Reg. #1 and #2. Would seem to only make sense they grab the eight in the conference finals. Then again it's a new promotion for casual so don't hold your breathe. Also, I don't think you have the option of declining promotion if in fact they do go this route. Hell, I'm still confused as how they plan on doing it so I may just be talking out of my ass - guess we'll see when we see.

We've finally made it - the last issue from me for the season and I hope someone can continue the tradition of some write ups next season as it keeps the chatter in the league going and makes for a fun league (at least I thought it did).
-------------------------------------------------
LEAGUE SURVIVOR
pierjam - Orlando Colts over Butte Pirates
leathn - Green Bay Maulers over Off In The Shower

Two left and I wonder if pierjam has GBM left and leathn has Orlando left?
-------------------------------------------------
KUDOS
Butte Pirates and Off In The Shower for great playoff runs. Butte was the surprise in Zeta taking out the nos. 1 and 4 seed before falling to the no. 7 seed - they were the no.8 seed. The Shower knocked out the nos. 2 and 3 seeds before bowing out to the no. 1 seed - they were the no. 7 seed. A 7 and 8 in a conference final - impressive.

LEAGUE TITLE GAME

(#7-Zeta) ORLANDO COLTS (13-6) @. (#1-Alpha) GREEN BAY MAULERS (19-1)
Each conference representative have battled through the playoffs and now get to meet up for the gold .gif and bragging rights of being the league champion. While some had the Maulers as a possible winner of the conference not many had the 10-6 Colts "pegged" as the possible Zeta champ. They turned some heads taking out the no. 3 seed in the first round then were dominate in their 2nd and 3rd round games as Zeta has a few upsets in round one that shook that conference up significantly. While the Colts have shown a lot of toughness I'll go on a limb and call them the underdog in this ball game. Certainly not trying to be disrespectful here but I've always felt Alpha the stronger of the two conferences playoff team wise. My thoughts really don't mean much as the teams must play and when the dust settles we'll see which team is better. Now, for a further look at the upcoming game.

ONLY LIKE OPPONENT ON THE SCHEDULE
The teams did not meet up in league play or in tourney action. The only significant comparison is the team each played and that was the Urban Blitzers. GBM defeated the Blitzers 35-20 in week one of the season while the Colts lost to Urban in week five 30-20. It goes without saying that each team is a lot different from earlier in the season but this is the only thing close and it fills the screen with text.

STAT ANALYSIS - From the three playoff games each has played - by looking at the below we should expect a shootout but not sure that will develop once the kickoff takes place.

PPG - OFFENSE
Orlando - 30.7
Green Bay - 30.3

Total Offense
Orlando - 426.2
Green Bay - 494.0

Passing Yards
Orlando - 393.0
Green Bay - 378.2

Rushing Yards
Orlando - 28.7
Green Bay - 115.8

PPG GIVEN UP
Orlando - 13.7
Green Bay - 15.7

Defense Yards Allowed
Orlando - 273.2
Green Bay - 233.0

KEYS FOR A COLTS VICTORY
1. Orlando must force some turnovers;
2. Orlando will want to try to keep that Mauler O on the sideline; and
3. If it turns into a high scoring game they must get TD's and not FG's.

KEYS FOR A MAULERS VICTORY
1. GBM must pick up the tempo and turn it into a track meet;
2. GBM must score more - nearly 500 yards a game and 30 ppg - a little unnerving; and
3. The passing will need to not throw a bunch of picks that take away points as that's happened a few times on the season.

WHO WILL WIN
You know the drill - I can't and won't pick against my team. I do think the Colts will need to put up a lot of points to win and I favor my D in getting more stops than the Colt D (now, when scoring teams will need TD's and not FG's like I've said many times this season). Orlando did take out a fully leveled 79 team in Alaskan so I certainly don't dismiss them as a small speed bump in the road. I'll game plan and take them very seriously as I do most of my opponents. I think my dots will be ready and take a close first half and open it up a little in the second half to win by two scores (34-20).
-------------------------------------------------
Oddly, I really didn't feel like rambling for once. Still in the office as most people were let go at three (you can leave if your not working on projects that need completions - to me that's all of them but I guess not and to top it off I'm not feeling very well :boohoo. Anyway, took a little break to get something up and I'd like to get out of here at my normal time.

GL Colts.

Hope you all enjoyed the season write ups. Were a little short early on until I got the hang of them.

We are kind of an Old Folks home for players that were around for other teams for us. I really just stopped going above regional pro. I got sick of 3-13 seasons where we lost all the games by 30 points. I don't think with the builds we have, we could avoid a really bad time of it in pro. We're scrimmaging casual pro teams now to get an idea

Not sure how my team will look but worst case scenario I'd bring up my other casual team and combine with older dots - would not be very good since I don't spend VA's on younger dots and save points until they get to their final home.

Not sure why. We had a solid core but the owner didn't say anything about not wanting to continue or selling the team, so I guess we're going our separate ways. Thanks for the awesome season though. GL to all in RPCE #1.

IMO , if they follow the rules established that should go in effect the end of this season, the conference semi-finalist of both conferences, meaning you, should all go to the pros from elite 1 and elite 2. see you there! U could probably ask tech support not if you want, but ? not finish off your carear with a pro season?

BTW you missed a helluva lot in this forum, including the promotion change and of course the MK2 report? Does it officially have a name? You need 1 for the pros

Check out the Comings and Goings thread in CasPro. There are several teams folding this season, there will be room for several extra teams actually.

Thought the title game score would be reversed - nice win Colts...ZETA > alpha.

Congrats to Orlando, I thought scores would be reversed also based on the matchup, but it's well know Orlando is hot bed of GLB talent, that's why we can support 2 pro teams! LOL
