Naga Conference: Round one predictions.
-----------------------------------------------
Royal Oak Oaks @ Woerth Shamrocks
Regular Season Score: 29-7 Oaks (week 15) - this was one to forget for the Shamrocks as they turned the ball over six times (three picks and three lost fumbles). To give up only 29 is saying something as the D held just fine having Royal Oak's O settle for five FG's (15 points) from K Renaldo Sawyers. Finally, you throw in a muffed punt returned by the D and your looking at a long day. The statistics were pretty much dead even throughout (cough cough - minus the TO differential) so I expect a different sort of game this go around.

I don't think the Oak Oaks will get six turnovers this go around and I expect this one to be a rather low scoring affair with both punters getting their mugs shown on the top players list. Both teams will stick primarily to the air and Seth Nelson Jr. II (Shamrocks) will slightly be better than Eric Walby (Oaks).

Player to watch: Seth Nelson Jr. II - he had three picks in the loss during the regular season and another performance like that will send the team packing with an early PO loss. However, Seth had one of his worst throwing days of the season and I expect a bounce back game that will lead them into the second round.

Prediction: Shamrocks 14 Oaks 13
-----------------------------------------------
Blatz Beer Barbarians @ Sic Semper Tyrannis
Regular Season Score: Tyrannis 13-3 (week 6) - this was a pretty tight game and one that surprised me. Anytime you can limit SST to 13 points = job well done. Then again, a loss is a loss and BBB will have to replicate it's defensive effort to stay in this ball game. SST was able to run a bit on them but the BBB didn't break giving up only one TD on the day. While praise goes to BBB's D SST's was just as good limiting BBB's O to only 150 yards on the game. Overall, this one was a defensive slug fest and I don't think we'll see an exact repeat of this ball game.

As I said this one surprised me and likely did Coach Handmonster as well. I don't think the coach will get surprised in round one and will come out firing on all cylinders and put BBB away early. You can't count any team out in the playoffs but I don't think BBB's O will be able to keep up on the scoreboard and they they get behind early it could be over before half.

Player to watch: SST HB1 - HB1 has been a mainstay for SST on the season rushing for over 2,300 yards and 55 TD's. The dot was able to gash the BBB D for 129 yards on 27 carries (4.8 ypc). Another effort like this will keep the BBB O off the field (SST O had the ball for 37:19 of the regular season game) and if you don't score you won't win no matter how well your D plays.

Prediction: Tyrannis 38 BBB 9
-----------------------------------------------
Kansis Irish @ Dot Fathers
Regular Season Score: 55-13 Fathers (week 11) - The score was rather ugly in this one but it was a tight first half (17-6 Fathers) before a 38-7 second half sullied a good ball game. Fathers pretty much abused the Irish D kicking out 656.5 yards on the game (204.5 rushing and 452 passing). The Irish D will need to buckle down and not give up the big play - they gave up TD's of 33, 60.5, and 82.5 all through the air in the third quarter...game over. The Irish did put up over 300 yards and made it a competitive first half. If they can hold it together a little longer and get a TD or two over a FG they'll be in decent enough shape.

I don't think the Father's will hit all the big plays like they had in the regular season game but their offense will still punish the Irish D. To counter the Irish O needs to put up points and give their D a little rest - I don't think it's feisible as the Father's should be able to either pass or run against the D of the Irish. I don't expect a tight one and see another big offensive outing for the Fathers.

Player to watch: Nate Mutha-uckin DaWg™ - if the Father's QB cranks out another 400 plus game while completing 85+ percent of his passes it's lights out for any team.

Prediction: Fathers 34 Irish 10
-----------------------------------------------
Green Bay Maulers @ American Horror Story
Regular Season Score: Horror Story 47-26 (week 3) - Story made short work of the Maulers in this one as they errupted for 41 points in the first half (led at half 41-6). GBM's special teams was anything but "special" giving up two punt returns to Hines Wardy in a span of third seconds that made the fat lady warm up, sing a choirs, and the hit the shower. My dots were not inept in the game - or part of it as we out gained Horror (474 to 363.5) and played a little better in the secon half (20-6).

I'd like to think I my team won't dig itself such a hole this time around and we can go four quarters without a big morale dump. Should be an interesting one - I certainly feel I'm the underdog in this game and will need to get a few rolls to have a chance to pull out the W.

Player to watch: Alex 'Couch' Moran - had a solid outing in the regular season game throwing for 303 yards and three TD's keeping the Mauler D at bay and fighting from behind all game long. Another solid performance directing the O would be a little problematic for the GBM D who can give it up in bunches at times.

Prediction: Maulers 31 Horror Story 28 (like I'm going to pick against myself)

Garuda Conference: Round one predictions. Sorry guys, it's great outside and I have no intention of pissing away my day by sitting in front of a pc any longer than needed.

Eastview JizzMops @ Prussian Black Hussars: They played in week 13 and the Black Hussars beat them 160-7. Pack your back Jizzmops it will be a short PO experience.
Prediction: Black Hussars 140 Jizzmops 0

Warnerstock Animaniacs @ Nevada Hillbillie's: Tightly played game in week 14 as the Hillbillie's eeked out a 24-20 W. A coin toss I say...
Prediction: I gave heads to the Hillbillie's (insert joke here) and it was heads - Hillbillie's 21 Animanics 20

Old Folk Home @ Off In The Shower: - In the Shower will look to retire the Old Folk's like they did in their 41-6 regular season meeting.
Prediction: In The Shower 48 Folk Home 6

OffTopica Freemasons @ Sector 9 Space Rangers: Space Rangers beat up on the Freemasons in week 15 34-9. Game was closer than the final as the Space Rangers dominated the second half 34-3.
Prediction: Space Rangers 24 Freemasons 13

GL to all.

That was insanely awesome, more please!

...and to you as well Sir! It was a brother vs brother match, and if we were to lose, it's good to lose to you, .

With all that, I did predict a Prussia Gold way back when, all to me!
