Kind of funny how he's yet to have CHARGES even brought up against him, yet he's all of a sudden been convicted of rape. The funny part is, the accusations were for sexual assault, not rape. If you don't know the difference, then maybe you should look it up.

Last I knew, you need to have charges brought against you before you can be convicted of anything. But of course, the public doesn't see it that way. Until it effects them or someone they know, of course.

Court room - Innocent until proven guilty.

Public - Guilty until proven innocent, and even then still guilty. As long as it doesn't effect the person with that view either directly or indirectly.

So then obviously you feel Ray Lewis is a good person since he was never convicted of killing that person.

There is a big difference between Ray Lewis and Big Ben. Ray Lewis ACTUALLY had charges filed against him. Meaning there was enough evidence supporting the claim that the DA felt they could convict. Big Ben had NO charges filed against him. Meaning there was not enough evidence to support the claim for the DA to even try to convict. Am I saying Ben didn't do something stupid? No I am not. But to say he raped someone when he's never even had charges filed against him for Sexual Assault (which was the actually accusation), much less rape.

How about just admitting that you don't like the Steelers because they are better than both Ohio teams in the Super Bowl era instead of using the overused rape crap. That's everyones comeback.

Hmmm....an NFL QB just happens to go to a college club, because he KNOWS it is every young girl's dream to be done in a public bathroom while an off-duty cop waits outside the door and then has a lackey come in and hose down the bathroom to conveniently wash away any physical evidence. Quite the romantic.

Hey...at least your backup QB isn't a rapist

yeah because NFL players NEVER go to clubs that are frequented by college people and they never, ever hook up in unusual places. Yeah the club's janitor is really his lackey. Boils down to this: He made a stupid decision. Was it illegal? Obviously not considering charges were never even filed. Sounds a lot like someone regretted what they did, so they cried sexual assault. It's not the first time it's happened that someone regretted their decision to sleep with someone and cried rape or sexual assault after the fact. Won't be the last either.

You can cry conspiracy all day long. Facts show there was not enough evidence to even attempt to convict. Ever once think that maybe, just maybe the chick was lying? I mean it's not the first time someone's done this to an athlete, yet all of a sudden this time the chick's telling the truth? Oh that's right because he was accused of it before, yet again no charges filed because the "victim" wanted money, not an actual conviction hence going to CIVIL court over it a year later, then it must be true.

Nah it boils down to, you want it to be true so you try the conspiracy crap. Again, been used a million times already. Come up with something new.

Look....I can go along with the following:

1) The Rooney family just may be one of the best owners in sports period...class on top of class.

2) Steeler fans (for the most part) are passionate and are 100 times better than those peckerwood Philly fans

3) As a Tampa fan myself, I am a big Mike Tomlin fan, and think he is one of the most underrated coaches in the NFL

4) Finally, Ben Roethlisberger is a complete and utter dirtbag, who has not just once, but several times, treated women like meat and has done just THIS much to keep himself from getting charged with rape. I have a teenage daughter, and if that asshole did anything like that to her, his head would be on my wall. Yeah, he is talented and yeah, he's kept his nose clean for a couple of seasons. Great. He is still a dirtbag.

Put down the Terrible Towel for a moment and be a real Steeler fan and recognize what is real. As a Tampa fan, I wouldn't let Aqib Talib around my family. Don't be a terminal homer please.

BTW....one last thing on this subject. You are the starting QB for an NFL team. You could walk into any night club and probably get a half dozen women who would die to give you a night to remember. But seriously....you have to go to a college club and think a girl wants you in a public restroom? Really??? Nothing says dirtbag more than that.

It has nothing to do with being a Steelers fan and everything to do with the fact that he has yet to even have charges filed against him. Don't you think that if he had someone clean the bathroom to cover it up, they would have at the very least filed tampering with evidence charges against him or anyone for that matter? No charges were filed AT ALL in ANY of the so called "rapes", yet you guys want to sit here and act as if he's been convicted. Kind of hard to be convicted when no charges are filed. Learn something about the law.

It's kind of funny how people are quick to scream foul, until it actually effects their team (not neccessarily you). No one is saying let him near your family, but damn stop acting as if you actually have more facts than the police and district attorney did. If there was any actual substance behind the accusations, don't you think they would have at least brought charges against him? Don't you think the so called victim would have kept her story straight? She changed her story at least twice, but your more prone to believe her over someone who's story never changed? Did he do something stupid? Hell yeah he did. Would I let him near my family? No I wouldn't. Is he a rapist? Hell no. Being guilty of being stupid doesn't equate rape.

because no one has ever had sex in a college club's restroom or any public restroom. Stop acting as if this shit has never happened before.

I don't sit there and cry foul on someone who's never had charges filed against them for what they're being accused of. It has nothing to do with me being a Steelers fan. Once charges are filed, then I will make my decision. I'm going to go off of what the people who get paid to do this and have a hell of a lot more experience in this think. I may think they're wrong, but I may not. O.J. Simpson got found innocent for his crimes. Do I think he's actually innocent? No I don't, but he at least had charges filed and a court trial. You guys want to label someone who's never even had charges filed against him.

Do I think Ben has made some stupid decisions? Yes I do, but until he actually has charges filed, he's only guilty of being a stupid idiot.

I hate the Steelere almost as much as I hate the Cowboys.

As for Big Ben: Guilty. Suffers from "everybody wants to touch my dick syndrome" just like any other power hungry prima donna.

Why no charges? Let's see.

1) His 2 body guards that night were off duty police officers that "don't remember"

She said the bodyguard wouldn't look her in the eye and said he didn't know what she was talking about. The GBI later identified that bodyguard as Ed Joyner, and the GBI also determined that the man who led Roethlisberger's accuser down the hallway was Anthony Barravecchio. Joyner is a Pennsylvania trooper and Barravecchio is an officer on the force in the Pittsburgh suburb of Coraopolis.

Attorney Michael Santicola, who represents Barravecchio but said Joyner also is a longtime friend, confirmed on March 10 that the two officers were present, but not in an official capacity. He said the two men are friends with Roethlisberger and did not witness any criminal activity or inappropriate behavior. He said the officers "have no memory" of meeting Roethlisberger's accuser.

2) The Officer that took the report is overheard making remarks about her and has a photo-op with Big Ben (and resigned).

The documents also contain an acknowledgment by Milledgeville police Sgt. Jerry Blash, the officer who took the first report from the accuser, that he made derogatory statements about the accuser and may have been overheard by members of Roethlisberger's party.

Blash, who was the only officer to interview Roethlisberger and who had posed for photos with the football star earlier in the evening of the alleged incident, resigned Wednesday, the day before the report was made public.

3) Then she asks the DA not to prosecute.

http://content.usatoday.com/communities/thehuddle/post/2010/04/full-text-of-letter-ben-roethlisbergers-accuser-sent-asking-da-not-to-prosecute/1#.UHU841Erevg

So how is the DA going to prosecute when the star witness/victim says "um, no thanks - I'll hit him in the wallet in civil court"; and you have "tainted" police and a high profile defendant? Not exactly winnable, which is what DA's are looking for.

Now you ask how can John Q Public come to the conclusion that he was guilty without ever being formally charged? Doesn't take a leap of faith to get there, imo.

And yeah, she was probably paid off - still don't make him not guilty. Just not prosecuted.

yeah and you're unbias.

1: 2 police officers who were from a different state entirely. Yeah I am so sure they had so much pull in GA.

2: Oh no, the officer to get the report posed with Ben earlier in the evening and made some bad comments about the "victim". That REALLY screams Ben is guilty.

3: She asked to not prosecute and you automatically think it's because she doesn't want her personal life to be scrutenized. Ever think that maybe she didn't want to prosecute because she was lying through her teeth or that she could possibly be trying to hide something? Nah that can't even be a possibility, people would never do something like this, especially when talking about people with money. As for the civil court, that web site says absolutely nothing about that and even if it did, all it does is really make you question how much truth she is actually saying. Then you throw in the fact that since this was finalized, there has been no talk of anything like this. But of course that's not odd, is it?

About as unbiased as you.

I presented to you what the media reported and explained how he could be viewed as guilty.

Google Dominique Strauss Kahn and tell me it doesn't happen.

Guilty in the court of public opinion, just like Ben.

I am not saying it can't be viewed as guilty, but to automatically view as there is no way he isn't guilty is retarded.

No. Your premise was that there were no charges filed therefore he's innocent, which is an equally if not more retarded view.
