I had a play where I primarily wanted one receiver targeted and wanted him looked at for a while because scouting showed he would come open late in the route.
So I had that receiver in the first four custom check down slots.
The fifth one was another receiver to go to it the other guy didnt get open.
Well as it turns out the defense changed and the primary receiver is doubled covered all day long.
The secondary receiver is single covered and out in front of his defender on a short crossing route the whole play.
The play is called half a dozen or more times already (its a mean nothing game I didnt put too many options into the offense).
The QB does nothing but throw to the primary receiver.
Even though he is double covered.
And its not like he is dumping it. The wideout is 45 yards down field before he throws sometimes.
WHY is the QB ignoring the fifth check down every single time and throwing into double instead of single coverage?
Is the fifth check down a fraud?
