Wish we had 24, because then we could just give the top 8 teams a first round bye while the remaining 16 teams duke it out in the first round. But ah well... well give the top 9 teams a first round bye while the remaining 14 teams duke it out instead. Those 14 teams will reduce down to 7, and combined with the 9 teams with byes, that will give us 16 teams starting in round 2, and we'll go from there.

Unless, of course, someone has a last-second entry... I'll accept one last team between now and Saturday night to make it an even 24 teams. Post here for the final spot if you want it.

Since we're getting such a late start and since home-team abilities are turned off, don't worry about who sends the scrim offer. If you see your team has an opponent waiting for you, just send the scrim offer as soon as possible and get the game done so we can keep things moving.

We ended up with 23 teams... I seeded all 23 teams according to a highly-irregular and 95%-subjective methodology, with the top 9 teams getting a first-round bye so that we'll have a nice even 16-teams left starting with Round 2. If you think your team is seeded to high or too low, I will agree with you completely and then tell you to suck it up and deal with it.

Y'know what? Never mind. I'm already getting push-back about the damn bracket.

It looked to me like the tourney was going to collapse, so I volunteered to help out on the theory that a bad bracket was better than no bracket at all. But apparently, some people here disagree.

So never mind. I'm out. Someone else can run this damn thing.

I'm withdrawing Manchester from the tourney as well, assuming it even happens at all at this point.

I can try to get this thing going. I think there are still enough of us who want to play.
