Just thought I would go ahead and share my playoff predictions since I think just about every spot is set as of right now...
West Playoff Predictions
-Not my conference so I don't really know much about the teams, but I do know there are some great owners in the West.
16-0/15-1 Turf Warriors vs 10-6/9-7 Childz Play
The Turf Warriors have not lost a regular season game this whole season and have been number one in either offense or defense the whole season. These two teams played earlier in the season with the score being very lop sided..Turf tearing up the field winning 119-7. Childz Play has managed to string out 5 straight wins to get them the 8th seed in the playoffs but they have not fared very well vs the top teams in the conference. Sorry Childz Play but your run will have to be cut short by the Warriors.
My Prediction: 70-14 Turf Warriors
12-4/11-5 T-Town Capstoners vs 12-4/11-5 Waste of 400 Flex Points
This spot match-up is locked in stone as both of these teams have a CPU team in the last game of the season. T-Town has a fully boosted team coming into this game vs Waste of Flex with only about 1/4th of the team boosted. T-Town got crushed a few games ago by a different partially boosted team, but that team consists of my top gold coordinators. Waste of Flex has been able to hang in there in games vs the better teams in the conference, but they haven't been able to score any points vs those teams. T-Town's fully boosted team will be too much for Waste of Flex to overcome in this one.
My Prediction: 28-17 T-Town Capstoners
14-2/13-3 Québec Nordiques vs 11-5/10-6 Corona Centurions
Corona has a very tough game this week vs Gold Test Squad in which they can prove if they belong or if they don't. That game will mean nothing for the standings so this game is a lock unless Quebec losses to a CPU team somehow. Corona boasts on their team page that "We will go far" so that statement will be tested big time in this first game vs a top team in the conference. Quebec has not gotten blown out in any games this season and were able to hold Turf to 24 which was the 2nd lowest they scored all season. They have been looking strong and will not let this season slip by in the first round.
My Prediction: 21-17 Quebec Nordiques
14-2/13-3 Gold Test Squad vs 11-5/10-6 Ljubljana Blues
Well since all the games above are a lock this one has to be too. I think it was Gold Test Squad, not sure though, that said they will start really trying in the playoffs. I know what Crims and jkid can do so I can only expect this team to go very far in the playoffs this season. The Blues probably got stuck with the toughest match-up of anyone in the conference. The Blues were able to take down the number 2 team in the conference, but they just played Gold Test Squad and got torched 49-14. They are going to have to turn some things around in the next few days if they want to compete in this one. Gold Test Squad is probably my front runner to win this conference despite having 2 regular season losses.
My Prediction: 52-17 Gold Test Squad
East Playoff Predictions
-I have had the pleasure of playing against all of these teams so I would like to think I know this conference a bit better.
15-1/14-2 Little Ohio State PeeWees vs 9-7/8-8 Rapid City Flying Aces
Rapid City locked up this spot since they are a game up on the number 9 team and they beat them in the head to head match-up so even if they lose this week they will stay number 8. Little Ohio State has not looked back since their tough game one loss vs a top team in the other conference. Little Ohio State was the first team to knock beat the undefeated Twin Peaks this season and have been on a roll every week. Rapid City just hasn't been able to get much going when playing a team that isn't CPU and lost earlier in the season to Little Ohio State 85-0. Little Ohio State is the front runner for this conference and they will not let Rapid City take them out of this dream team season.
My Prediction: 70-10 Little Ohio State PeeWees
13-3/12-4 D-Town Demolition vs 13-3/12-4 Faster Horses
Both of these teams should stay at the same seeding unless there is some huge upset that I don't see happening. D-Town has played well the whole season and really hasn't gotten killed in any game this season. They have a very stout defense but their offense has been a little shaky. Faster Horses seems to think they have what it takes to be a top team in the conference but haven't been able to prove it vs any of the top teams. We will all know a lot more about Faster Horses after their game with Little Ohio State tomorrow. D-Town was the 2nd team to take out the formerly number 1 Twin Peaks and looked good doing it. If D-Town can turn it on in the playoffs they could be a team to beat.
My Prediction: 31-14 D-Town Demolition
14-2/13-3 Twin Peaks vs 10-6/9-7 Boston Teabaggers
Twin Peaks went undefeated through 12 games this season and looked great in the process. I think that Jackson said earlier in the season that they have some inactive agents and other problems going on that might have been the cause of their 2 losses in the past few games. If those agents return then Twin Peaks will be a team to fear in the playoffs this season. They have both of the top 2 offensive MVP candidates in the conference. Boston played a very good game with Twin earlier in the season but got blown out by some easier competition. They will be going into the playoffs with a 3 win streak but I think they will be put to a rest in this one. Twin Peaks is run by some Gold coordinators that know what they are doing so this one should by an easy win for them moving onto round 2.
My Prediction: 49-24 Twin Peaks
14-2/13-3 Pee Wee Outlaws vs 11-5/10-6 Motorcity Maulers
