I guess but this is still dumb. After this season 8 good teams (that could easily win 15 or 16 games in west) will be demoted. Pointless now, spread out the talented teams tbh

S23: 8 teams from East and 8 teams from West make playoffs.
S24: All 16 teams placed in the same conference together = West. East is filled by 16 promoting teams from other leagues.

Better system (in my opinion)
S23: 8 teams from East and 8 teams from West make playoffs.
S24: 8 teams from East get placed back in East. 8 teams from West go back to West. 8 remaining slots in each conference filled by promoting teams.

In the new system, it would give the new teams the best chance to prove themselves against the top teams, as they'd be fighting for their playoff spots against proven teams. If they are good enough to make the playoffs, then they stay, and get to do it agin the following season. This system would also keep more of the top teams in the top league, as they wouldn't all be in one conference fighting over 8 playoff spots.

I agree so much with this model. You're very right about the East having 16 good teams fighting for 8 PO spots. It ends up in a cycle for teams that aren't the greatest but are still pretty good. For example, my team isn't that bad, we have 845 SP value, depth, etc. But unlike some of these network/alliance teams or teams that are just a lot better than us, we can't seem to stick in Elite #1 East.

The cycle for us has been Comp 3, Elite 1 West, Elite 1 East, Comp 3, now Elite 1 West, and in all likelihood Elite 1 East in Season 25. We kick ass in Comp 3, go like 14-2 every time we're down there, then go to Elite 1 West and go 11-5ish, then go to Elite 1 East, 4-12 record, demoted into Comp 3. There are some teams that go through this cycle as well, D-Cup has been going through it with us the past few seasons as well I believe. I honestly think with Spindoctor's model it'd end this annoying and inevitable cycle that's bound to repeat itself every 3 seasons.

Or ask to replace one of the 20 man rosters, or slow build teams in the other conference. Why do I feel the playoff race will be greatly decided by the out-of-conference game this season.

Also why the hell is there a reg. league ? There are 8 human teams and the rest are cpu. Waste of a league there.

I like the looks of this new East, while I would like to see the Lycans come over the league looks top to bottom to be the best teams in the age group. It will be interesting to see who sticks.
