Guess since we don't have our own forum yet, we can discuss stuff here.

Things like how Bort's rivalry points system is screwing up the team distribution between the conferences, once again.

Why are all the playoff teams from Elite #1 last season in the same conference this season? Is Bort trying to demote half of the best teams at this age group? Any chance we want to try to work out team swaps between the two conferences to try to "even" things out a bit more?

As far as that my thread is really to get all the "Truly" elite teams into the same leauge, If we simply swap between conferences imo some teams would be at the bottom no matter what, with my idea it will of course be tougher on everyone but the conpetition will truly be there and you will have the "any given sunday factor" where even cross conferences there is really no such thing as a sure win imo

Doesn't matter if you bring up 6 or so teams from Elite #2 into Elite #1. The problem is the majority of the best teams last season were in Elite #1, and those that made the playoffs are now all in the same conference. This means 8 of those teams will be demoting at the end of this season. However, if you played in Elite #2 or Competitive #3, and did well, you got placed in the other conference. So, we'll be losing 8 of the top 20 squads in this age range at the end of the season, while keeping 8 of the lower teams for S25.

What Bort needs to do, if he really likes the rivalry points system, is to take the playoff teams from each conference, and return them to their conferences. After this, he needs to fill in the remaining spots in each conference with the promoting teams. This not only promotes the rivalries we've been developing for the past couple of seasons, but also keeps the talent spread between each conference. It would also lead to the top teams always remaining in the top leagues, and not having to worry about being the 9th best team in the best conference, then having to waste a season in a lower league.

We won elite #2 and still remain in elite #2.

Find an overmatched team in Elite #1, chat with them, then have both teams send in swap requests to support. It shouldn't be too hard to find a team or 10 that would be overmatched from the Western Conference.

What I'm suggesting provides I think the best competition for the current season, even if we swapped a few teams from the power conference into the weaker 1 your gonna give the TOP teams maybe half a schedule of tough games and half a schedule of gimmies (maybe thats what most want) but imo you have to think about the guys that got bumped up from competitive, i dont think they want to play the whoile season knowing that even if they squeezed into the play-offs they would still lose the first game by 100 points. My suggesestion is really to make this season a great one, knowing that every single W will have to be earned, I think If the changes in my thread are made Elite #1 will trully be Elite #1 and both conferences will be on near equal ground...

I dont see any reason why the teams in the thread I posted would reject an offer, all the teams I posted for swaps are a 8 seed at best so give it a shot

All the conference swap really does is guarentee the really good teams a few more W's

It won't repeat anything. I think you are not following what I think would work best. I'll try to diagram it better.

Current system
S23: 8 teams from East and 8 teams from West make playoffs.
S24: All 16 teams placed in the same conference together = West. East is filled by 16 promoting teams from other leagues.

Better system (in my opinion)
S23: 8 teams from East and 8 teams from West make playoffs.
S24: 8 teams from East get placed back in East. 8 teams from West go back to West. 8 remaining slots in each conference filled by promoting teams.

In the new system, it would give the new teams the best chance to prove themselves against the top teams, as they'd be fighting for their playoff spots against proven teams. If they are good enough to make the playoffs, then they stay, and get to do it agin the following season. This system would also keep more of the top teams in the top league, as they wouldn't all be in one conference fighting over 8 playoff spots.

It won't repeat anything. I think you are not following what I think would work best. I'll try to diagram it better.

The point im trying to make is that we all know they are NOT good enough at this point anyway. We'd be better off just trying to have a great season, your suggestion isnt bad but I really dont trust Bort's system to sort anything right, how many season is and we are still getting mostly bullshit?

and your second point we really cant trust the promotion at all so its best we just have like a comittee or something to decide the top teams lol, i mean the Lycans owner said it himself, he dominates elite #2 for 2 seasons in a row and still hasnt been promoted to elite #1

It's been this way for a couple seasons. GPL won E2 twice before being moved.

I can't wait until next season when we are all placed into Super Upper National Minor Elite Advanced #1

Did Bort just add another tier of leagues for our group of teams, and does this slow our movement towards the top (Pros and WL) by a season now as well?

They are slowly phasing out leagues, from what I can tell. But, yeah, it looks like we have an additional level at the moment, as we'll go to semi-pro next season (unless you chose to promote to an uncapped league), then onto Reg/Nat. Pro after that.

WTF ? is this serious. these conferences aren't even fair. This western conference is just a bunch of comp teams being promoted. Im calling it now, whoever wins East will easily, hands down win the championship.

Also why the hell is there a reg. league ? There are 8 human teams and the rest are cpu. Waste of a league there.

Yeah, West is I think all Comp. #3 teams that got promoted. The regular league probably exists because there was 8 excess teams that were owned previously, so I guess GLB can't force them to sell their teams to get rid of that league.
