Well, that "1/3 of the game" is just a cliche'. There were 156 plays during the game, and 31 of them were Special Teams for a total of 19.871% or less than 1/5 of the game.

1/3 of the game or 1/5 of the it really make no difference. the sim has proved if you have great return units you can win regardless of how good your offense or defense is.

take ECT for example, they have a great defense and below average ofense and a great ST unit. and the = a prefect season.

take away the ST units and they are a 3 loss team

that said, in my 18 seasons of GLB i have put together some great offenses and some great defenses, however never been able to ful grasp what it takes to put together great ST units. so i have to give ECT all the credit in the world for that

GG LA. Like I have said in the past, without my ST's unit playing well we would have lost at least 1 or 2 games.

I wouldn't exactly call our offense below average. I honestly think our offense is just average. You guys have the number 1 rush defense and made my HB's look like shit trying to run the ball.

the reason i feel you guys had a below average offense is the fact even with all the great field position you guys would get from your return teams, you still had 77 FG ATT about 20 more then the next team. also after playing you guys 4 times in the past 2 years we never really feared your running game. i would have though an average offense would have punched the ball in the end zone alot more.

I fully admitt La's offense pretty much sucks...lol and we have never been able to get it fully rolling. we won all our games with Defense and turnovers
if i were to compair both teams i would give
ECT offense a 6.5
ECT defense a 9
ECT ST 10

LA offense 6
LA defense 10
LA ST 7.5
