wow i feel like an idiot. i was on my new phone and somehow i saw the 28 under and though it was us. but 15 ? that still doesn't make sense.

8th overall (at 5-0), have the 2nd overall offense, yet 24th in both passing and rushing, and 1st defense, despite the 6th pass and 12th rushing D.

Westwind, I think you have some issues with the way you calculate the different components of the ranking, or they aren't accounting for the right things, as there is no way two ranks of 24 should total to be 2nd overall.

yup and 29th for run defense ? i know its effiecency but there are at least a handful of teams out there that can't stop the run and we are below them ?

Having seen and used Westy's scripts for many seasons now, I can explain (maybe) a lot of these questions I think. Let me take a stab.

Looks pretty accurate to me. What doesn't make sense. Are you looking at raw totals (which is not what efficiency means) or are you looking at yards per attempt. Efficiency is the latter but it also "adjusts" some stats first before deciding that. It first takes sacks and counts it against passing instead of running (increases pass attempts, reduces pass yards, increases rush yards, decreases rush attempts). Then it does an adjustment based on the quality of the team you played. Looking at the quality teams you've played compared to some of the immediate above/belows you it seems pretty spot on so not sure what doesn't make sense.

1st, probably would help to learn how to read. Those numbers mean
"scoring", "pass efficiency", "rush efficiency"

Your pass/rush efficiency suck it says. Never said you could not score points or prevent others from scoring points in general. Also, anything times 0 is still 0 mathematically. Adjustments cannot do anything about the absolute scenarios. Just wait, the first time you play a real team you will rapidly be "corrected". Just have to play a real time for a change.

This is the "adjustments". Pretty much given the quality of the teams you are playing, your offence scales out to pretty much nothing. This has to do with extremes. Rushing 200 yards against a crappy team is worth roughly 20 yards against a good team sort of thing. If you are averaging only 6 yards per rush against teams that haven't won a game and other teams are scoring 5 yards per rush against championship teams or other good teams, yeah I would agree that the 5 yards per rush against good teams is better then 6 per rush against bad.

The 2 and 1 is simply because 0 times anything for an adjustment percentage is still zero. Don't worry, the first time you play a real team you will drop like a rock in the rankings most likely. You are just in a very rare case of extremes where your combined opponent records are like 1 win vs 24 losses.

You just don't know how to read stuff in general do you? Nowhere is the 29 in that line you are showing. They are 12th in rushing defence efficiency and that seems about right to me.

For Chaos, the teams that matter most I see 6.2 yards per attempt with 44 attempts/0 sacks and 3.1 ypa w/ 31 attempts/5 sack adjusted.

I think that is probably what put you at being worse then most of the league overall. Both teams did an above average job on you and they were not superstar teams either.

Thanks for calling me an idiot and telling me to learn how to read. Nowhere is it posted that those numbers mean "scoring", "pass efficiency" or "rush efficiency". This is the first time these rankings have been posted for Elite #1 leagues in the last 5 seasons, so don't get all high and mighty that we don't know what they mean.

Thanks Westwind for doing these rankings, but a little primer as to what they actually are ranking might be useful for those of us unfamiliar to them.

First who is this guy ? No team or player in E1 and then comes in here and calls us idiots. since when was it scoring, and all ? Also 6.4 pass yds per attempt = 15th in the leauge cause when i look at it we are 7th there. We are 4th in pass % and 10th in yards. so overall i don't see this 15th ranking. So your calling us mediocre in e1 though the last 2 seasons we have went 14-2 and 11-5 and gone fairly deep in the play-offs each time ?

No problem spin. I'll add a little legend or something to help clarify things a bit.

As for all the um ... aggression, can we kind of kiss and make up. I'm sure nobody meant to insult anyone else or anything of the such. A side not for any random people, Elite #1 kind of implies the cream of the crop. So yeah bad teams are not exactly the same as cpu teams

In any event, like with any ranking system, they become more and more accurate as more games are played so sit back, relax, and enjoy the popcorn smiley
