Had a lot of free time yesterday since I had to travel to Central Florida for a wedding and I got a bit bored at the hotel so I complied the W/L records for all teams in both Elite #1 & #2. I didn't bother with the couple of CPU teams but everyone else is there. Started with the players second season (18) since many teams split their rosters in the first season either between Pee Wee or Casual leagues to get max XP.

Couldn't find a good way to format it here so I made a Google spreadsheet with the info.

Some interesting things to note:

Of the 64 teams currently in the two Elite leagues only 8 teams have made the playoffs every season:

Kansas City Reapers
Palm Bay Palookas
Richey Royals
Black Sea Seismos
Madrid Gangsters
Toronto Hell Cats
Clay's Hammer
Legion Of Dynamic Discord

Of those teams the top 6 in Regular Seasons are:

Legion Of Dynamic Discord 69-11
Madrid Gangsters 67-13
Kansas City Reapers 66-14
Richey Royals, Austin Slackers & Toronto Hell Cats 65-15

The best of those teams in the playoffs:

Black Sea Seismos 13-3
Legion Of Dynamic Discord 12-3
Richey Royals 10-3
Kansas City Reapers 9-4
Palm Bay Palookas 8-4

22 teams have made the playoffs 4 out of 5 seasons. Of those the best regular season records:

Black Hand Assassins 61-19
WAR MACHINE & Apatity Awesome 60-20
Laos Chaos & Liechtenstein Lycans 59-21

The best of those teams in the playoffs:

Laos Chaos 11-2
Diggersboy's Dolphins with Frickin' Lasers 10-2
Liechtenstein Lycans 8-3
Regensburg Steel Rain 7-3
Apatity Awesome 6-4

Of the 5 non-boosting or partial boosting teams in the two leagues (all in Elite #2) the best has been Sainte-Foy Nordiques 2.0 who have only missed the playoffs once and have 1 win and 3 losses in the postseason.

If you took the 8 teams who have made the postseason every season and the 22 who made it 4 out of 5 you would have 30 teams and a pretty damn competitive league. Sadly the split isn't anything close to that:

Elite #1: 8 teams with 5 playoff seasons, 13 teams with 4 playoff seasons, 7 teams with 3 playoff season, 2 teams with 2 playoff seasons & Steel City which is a season 22 start up who missed the playoffs in their only season.

Elite #2: 9 teams with 4 playoff seasons, 12 teams with 3 playoff seasons, 8 teams with 2 playoff seasons, 1 team with 1 playoff season and 2 CPU teams who I didn't count.

All this info got me thinking about a new suggestion to maybe help get GLB's head out of its ass when it comes to sorting teams each season:

Season 18 was before age based leagues so a lot of teams that did well in their rookie season got promoted too high.

I could probably go in and edit out season 18 if you think it would make a huge difference but I would imagine that the worst of the teams that over-promoted would be the ones who had only one or two seasons of making the playoffs. Any specific teams that look real wonky?

We got creamed in season 18.

Gotcha. You haven't done too bad even with the throwaway season. 9th out of 64 in playoff wins. Plus plenty of tourney success.

Season 20 was the first aged based leagues season, right?

Stirling got creamed S20 because we had 15 players about 10 days too old, so we were 120-130 day players playing against 160 day teams.

Plus we were really good S17-S19, so we were in an elite league with those players. It was rough going.

Thanks for putting this together. It's nice to see the Seismos leading the playoff wins total, and it doesn't surprise me at all that we aren't in the top 5 for regular season wins, since the regular season only matters as far as seeding goes, and if you don't care about seeding, all that matters is you make it in.

Bubonic Bulls name change seems to have thrown you a bit...

s20 15-1 po 3-1
s21 12-4 po 0-1
s22 10-6 po 0-1

Total 58-22 po 5-4

Hardly cream of the crop, but not too shabby...

I Don't think the American Pride team will be a solid Team this season, Just looking to get into the playoffs again.

I purchased this team late mid season 19. we made the playoffs 3 of the 3.4 seasons.

All I ask, is that the league take it easy on us, so we can make one more...lol

Pretty sure it is right on the spreadsheet. Took it right from the team's page going season by season.

thanks but by the way laos was bought by valen before the start of S19 so that terrible s18 shouldn't count against us.

so complied that is 55-7 (11-2) under Valen and co.

I'll make that adjustment, thanks. Hard to keep track of when all the teams started, was the main reason for leaving off season 17.

The first team I owned did something pretty close to that back before ABLs during the good old pyramid days.
