true but confidence effects your performance

you have the confidence to go for the interception

you don't get down about giving up a pass or missing a tackle

I won't put many points into it but you should train it up alot

I always wonder whether having high confidence will make you more aggressive in going for picks or not. Any speculation?

Maybe, or maybe the QB will expose that with pump fakes and get the receiver wide.

And thus the need for high vision, which if you are safety, should be one of your highest stats.

End of the day, if you ain't fast enough to catch a ball carrier that has broken away, I guess it's kinda nice that you can watch him run away & it will be in focus.

I can't see giving up a speed advantage to gain a vision advantage.

Same to be said with the confidence....if he doesn't get burnt, why spend the points NOW? I'm not saying it won't need to be addressed later...to me, I just think you gotta be able to catch the fastest guy on the field if you are the so-called "Last Line".

I agree on the confidence call but with vision I often see my guy stopping his movement to run the right way just after the snap which makes up the yards that all the speed in the world won't help you with once the WR has caught the ball.

For me Vision is all the yards between the time the snap is made to when the receiver catches the ball. Once the WR has it then you have a second as he turns and then he probably has you on speed. Vision is to get the drop on him.

Can Anyone show me a build of a player with high confidence that is making a difference?

My FS was an All-Star Last Season voted on by Owner's & GM's in USA BBB#7.
This season has only been better as he is a BEAST! @ Lv.22.

Raider5280 Confidence: 22.8

Honestly, NOT A POINT.

He only had 23 tackles and 18 PDs... Not really something confidence affects. Now lets say you miss a tackle.. You are going to start missing more and more tackles

I wouldn't call my speed ridiculously high, but no one has gotten by me yet. I catch up to receivers before they score so far. Vision gives you an amazing jump on the play.

Vision absolutely helps you need less speed because your already in position to make the big tackle.

I don't want to be chasing a receiver, I want to be hitting him the same time the ball is, and the better your vision the quicker you read the play. But this thread is about confidence, in real life football this is called "short memory" and essential to the defensive secondary and QB's, but not sure how it relates in this game.

Dougster, check out my SS's game against Manitoba Maniacs, he got 9 pd's, almost all from excellently timed hits causing the receiver to spit up the ball. My vision is 40 and i have 3 super vis.

It was a bad team though, which is why he was so successful with those only moderate skills.

I absolutely agree on vision.

I have 73 speed and 53 vision and 6 in super vision.

I don't make many tackles any more. I also don't miss many tackles. All the long pass plays on are on the other side of the field.

IMO vision is really important for the defense. I don't notice a big improvement to most players that have high vision on offense.

We are going to try something and switch me with the SS (is a FS also, but has more points into hitting tree and tackling.) Just to see what happens.

5280 plays on a Ridculous D that has given up 2 FG's & 1 TD all season.
He doesn't miss tackles & affects the whole field.
I'm not getting into a play posting deal here.
I will just say that my FS is solid.
32.99 V w/4 in Super along with my 22.8 confidence seems to be adequate.

I'm not saying he's the beast in GLB or none of this madness.
Build your players as you see fit.
& Good Luck wit it.
