Just another example why GLB fails in general.
EQ should be one "feature" of this game, to get users more into it.
Despite that, users want to get rid of it (or want to turn it to auto-EQ anyay).
Why not just add +4 to certain/some/random attribute, preferably major so we all could skip that & be happy?
= "You're equipped"

If a person can't be bothered to upgrade their equipment, should I care? all this does is enable the multi by making it so he only has to log into the account every season or so to boost and set equipment.

I didn't mind upgrading equipment when I had a handful of players (<20), but when you have a lot of players the 'joy' of assigning equipment is gone.
Will it help some multi's, sure. Is that reason enough to deny it to the majority of the userbase who it could actually benifit???

Some are boosters...yes. If you don't like managing 20 players, don't make 20 players.

Fine with it.
Wouldn'tdo it myself . . . but that's because GLB is so lame for players that pretty much the only thing to "do" is train and upgrade EQ . . . Total auto-pilot would be boring.
But that doesn't mean it isn't a good idea for some schlump with 40 players.
