is 3 pieces of 5% intercept over kill

or what should I look for as 4 pieces of AEQ

Yeah I think it's an overkill, because the +% EQs don't stack very well anymore.

i would argue that 2 pieces is overkill.

Depends how the FS is used, tbh.

3 would be too much. 2 may not if your building to be a int specialist. However that may mean you will not able to do some other things very well.

IMO Super Vision is the only absolutely necessary piece, but that is only because I don't like to pay full price for high SA's.
High vision (90+ after bonuses) with 10 SV produces plays like these:

The FS starts breaking on the ball (and getting his Ball Hawk bonus) the same tick the quarterback starts to cock his arm back. This one was a pick, but that kind of reaction time is just as useful in the run game.

I am also a big fan of Avoid Fake %, since it helps in both the pass and run game as well. Beyond that it depends on your build and what you are trying to focus on.

I disagree. The only piece absolutely necessary is MT%. Depending how you plan out your build, you can save the AEQ piece for something else and drop SPs in SV.

I like high vision though =)

I'm going MT%, AF%, PD%....and maybe another MT, have yet to decide.

My 2 cents.

I agree with you for a SS, but this is a FS he is asking about. A FS might take MT% if he wanted to excel in that area, but it's by no means necessary for success at the position. Play recognition is huge, and nothing makes it happen like SV.

I swear SV is shit.

Here's what 84 vision & 10 SV gets you for a LOLB:

Ah....I have no expertise with FS (and very little with SS ) so nevermind.

I swear SV is awesome.

78.87 vision
4 SV on a LOLB... haven't even gotten to put SP's into it yet.

The game is completely different at those levels. Invalid comparison.

My dot has 77.88+5.84 vision with 18 SV, and he is doing plays like this:
http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=1595790&pbp_id=6293351

But he is a SS, not a FS

that's some psyche-out defense right there. You see how he made the guy think he was gonna play the ball, then instead he went and hit the guy's coach in the mouth! Dude dropped the ball as a result... probably crapped his pants too. Your vision check was actually off the charts, and your player went for a very unorthodox but effective method of defense as a result.
