Week 5 Match-Ups

Western Conference
Bedford 1-3 vs Lancashire 4-0
Lancashire has exceeded my expectations so far. I knew they would be good, but 4-0 wasn’t expected. Their defense has held opponents in check allowing less than 250 yards a game. This week will be no different. It’s time for these Wolverines to go Rodent hunting.

Mason County 4-0 vs Plymouth 1-3
Despite being 4-0 and tied for first in the conference, the Marauders look like they are trying to cement a #1 play-off seed by boosting most of their team already. They would have sailed into a week 7 Tokyo match-up at 6-0 regardless, but I guess they want to dominate now! The Pirates don’t stand a chance now, even with the cpu dots playing to the level of their competition.

Wookiee 2-2 vs Billy’s Colts 0-4
The Wookiees have been struggling lately, highlighted by a loss to the Seariders last week. Billy doesn’t seem to have made too many upgrades to his Colts since last game. The Wookiees will return to winning form with a solid performance this week.

Toronto 2-2 vs Tokyo 4-0
Tokyo continues to show off some good moves on the dance floor and out on the field. This week they take the West’s #1 defense into Toronto and quickly take care of the Rush. Toronto’s loss to a previously 1-2 team has done nothing to show improvement north of the border and their record will soon drop below the Mason-Dixon Line.

Buffalo 0-4 vs Tennessee 1-3
In a battle of western cellar dwellers the biggest fight will be getting fans into the stands. Tennessee finally notched one in the good side of the column and will add another one this week. Buffalo still has a pulse, but little else at this time. Tennessee will continue to improve.

Ohio State 3-1 vs Florida 1-3
Tressel’s troops hit a speed bump last week, but will shift back into 5th gear this week. Florida hasn’t been able to slow down anyone’s rushing attack so far and will continue to get run over this week. Ohio State now has their standard one loss and will spend the rest of the season hoping for everyone else to slip up so they can get back to the top of the rankings… as usual.

Western Conference Game of the Week
Ty-Isaf 2-2 vs Waianae 2-2
I know it’s an interesting choice for game of the week, but it is the only game in the west that has two teams with records this close. This is a game of two teams headed in opposite directions. T-I started off looking like a million bucks, but recent has been outperformed by my Enron stock. On the other hand, Waianae has woken up, taken some time off from surfing and decided to play some football. Not so fast sweetheart!! Ty-Isaf is too proud to go down without a fight and will rediscover how to play the game. Look for T-I to be the last man standing in this fight!

Pudong 1-3 vs Peoria 2-2
Even though Peoria is stocked with level 3 dots they have managed to remain in the middle of the pack offensively and defensively, which is more than I can say for the Dongers. Too many cpu players has them fighting an uphill battle week after week and it will be more of the same in this one.

Eastern Conference
WalMart 4-0 vs Otago 0-4
This week is WalMart’s turn to bully the iron man guys. Their solid defense has sacked it way to allowing negative yards rushing on the season. More of the same this week as Otago will once again tire early and wear out against this cost saver’s brutal rushing assault.

Denver Freeze 2-2 vs Your TDs 0-4
The last two cpu teams were finally bought!! Hopefully Denver’s new own won’t mess up the MOJO that was going on in south Texas. Bringing in a handful of basketball stars won’t help his chances if messes with the OAI too much.

Springfield 1-3 vs Colonial 3-1
Another blow out for the Zoners and back to their losing ways for the Isotopes. Not much to say here. Colonial is too strong and their offense is too powerful to let Springfield stand in their way.

Philly 3-1 vs Samba 4-0
Philly’s only loss came at the hands of FFA, which isn’t impressive… but somehow their wins vs Otago, TDs and Buffalo are even less impressive. The Vikings on the other hand have been running on all cylinders and pulled off the upset last week. This week they prove they belong in the top of the conference and improve to 5-0

Bortsville 2-2 vs Chocolate Eels 4-0
The Screamers bring the conference’s #1 offense and defense into Bortsville and don’t plan on leaving without another W. They’ve been big and brash all season and shouldn’t have troubles continuing. Bortsville started off strong, but have fallen on their faces the last 2 weeks when playing quality opponents.

Psycho Gorillas 0-4 vs Tiger Blood 3-1
The biggest competition in this one is which team has the longer name. The Adonis’ will continue to troll their way to another win, making plenty of friends along the way. The Gorillas don’t have the strength to break too many tackles in this one… good news for one FFA LB in particular. More #winning for the coke fiends.

South Yorkshire 1-3 vs Rochester 0-4
In the eastern version of the Battle of Futility the Aftershocks and Vendetta try to make some noise. If you happen to make it to the game… well, youre probably lost. I would say the bast part of this game is the cheerleaders, but the owners probably couldn’t afford to field any of those either. Yorkshire in a yawner.

Eastern Conference Game of the Week
Ft. Gordon 3-1 vs Cliché 4-0
The Commandos let me down last week, and I’m still not emotionally recovered from the heart break. The only signals I’ll be sending these grunts will be of the middle finger variety!! This week they play even harder competition than last. Cliché has the rushing defense to slow these soldiers down and send them back to their barracks. Look for Cliché to play the part of a Marine Corp drill instructor and teach the Commandos what boot camp is supposed to be like.

Likely story. You virtually admitted to getting the last thread locked. You just won't admit to this one cause you know it shows how butthurt you are.
