Ok the scouting tool is almost at the point that I can stop using script. It is time to make it just right.

a. scout previous seasons
b. scout private games (only games that one have access too)

2) Allow us to choose field position when filtering (like Own 20 - Opp 20). Most OAI will change near either goaline (and some even more), and there is no reason why we
cannot filter for that.

3) Allow us to choose how much time is left to the half/end. The </> 2 minutes is nice, but no real reason why not making it flexible.

4) Add filtering by tag (very important). Just adding 3 listbox for the 4 positions TE, FB, HB and QB.
a. When you scouting opponent offense, use the tags set.
b. When scouting your own offense, one needs tags too. Best options are
- use custom slots
- use tags for your own players (the system already allow you to define them)
c. When scouting defenses (this is the hardest).
- use pre-existing tags
- allow using archetypes. At the bottom list of possible tags, there will be HB ELUSIVE ARCH, TE POWER ARCH and so on.
- To prevent clatter the list should only show tag that are defined for the scouted teams.

5) Goaline is a formation, and should be treated like all other formations.

how about adding specific plays for just inside rushing, or outside rushing...have those be tabs like the formations are...

Not sure who need this. You already get a stats breakdown for that, so the only thing left is filtering the plays. But since you get a line for each play it can easily be done by the user.
Since defense are formation oriented i fail to see why anyone will care about mixing singleback HB dive strong and Weak I HB Slam.

+1 especially to scouting previous seasons. Week 1-4 are tough to scout using that feature because tendencies have not been established in the current season even if the OC/DC is lazy as shit and never updates.

personally i i would use it instead of having to to sort through each play as you mentioned to weed out the stuff im not looking for
