If you see instances that relate to this, please post them in this thread, like D-Train has done (edited into OP below).

Right now defensive players are blind, they run into each other all the time, and have terrible pursuit angels. There have been bugs threads closed on this because it is "working as intended" but I can't seriously believe that this is Bort's intention, it's just an oversight.

+1, makes sense...there should be a bit of running into each other, but its completely out of control.

we should be a lil cautious on our suggestion of this. I agree with the OP that something needs to be done. but asking bort to add another code that goes into the equation for the already sub par pursuit angles in this game might not be the way to go. coding pursuit angles dont seem to be his strong suit.

i would argue that give the D as much freedom as the O. Offensive players dont seem to be bothered by running over/thru their teammates at all. You see hb/fb on outside running plays run directly at and thru the Wr/Cb blocking exchange with almost no hesitation at all, while the Defensive dots has to figure out what is the best way to get around that blocking exchange.

in short. the OP is right....something should be done. but i say simplify it and let the D have the same/simular code as the O.

What VISION check do you need to not run into a guy directly in front of your face.

VIS 0, OLB runs directly into the DE rushing up the field
VIS 1, OLB attempts to avoid the DE rushing up the field

How F'ing hard is it to see a 275 pound man. If you aren't blind you see him.

Vision should be renamed football intelligence and should do what it's supposed to do. It's confirmed it's in the break block roll, unreal.

The game SHOULD just make sense.

I agree. Ive posted this in plenty of threads, but i called it football logic. common sense reactions. especially on outside run plays. OLBs and SS/FS should always try to take a containment persuite angle. Also on QB sneaks to the outside dots just stand there even tho the QB is running a naked bootleg with either no blockers in front or the QB is ahead of the blockers.....well a D player at that point should know its a run....or at least keep a containment relationship to force the play back inwards like real OLBs do.

anyway back on topic.
