Casual Sophomore Top 25

1. Minnesota Junk Mailers, League 1: They’ve beaten all comers to this point, and until someone beats them, it’s theirs.

2. Red River Rampage, League 1: I don’t care who beat them early on. They have the talent and they beat Dallas twice.

3. Dallas Badgers, League 1: Losses to the Junk Mailers early on, and two losses to Red River, have Dallas squarely in third. I’m not sure anyone other than Minnesota and Red River can beat them tbh.

4. Tehran Twelvers, League 1: They have only two total losses on the season, both to the Junk Mailers, and they beat Red River. The Dallas game coming up will be the key to them moving higher.

5. The Devil’s Rejects, League 3: Very few interleague games for the Rejects, but a skyhigh 377.47 average SP and an undefeated record in League 3 sees their stock rising.

6. New England Cowboys, League 1: 10-0 on the weak side of league 1. They beat Dallas in an unranked scrim, but lost resoundingly to the Junk Mailers in the tourney. That is however their only significant loss to date.

7. Vancouver Vipers, League 4: A surprising member of the top ten, Vancouver has built themselves a pretty solid roster with a respectable 372 average SP. An undefeated regular season, with only losses to Baltimore Crimewave and Minnesota.

8. Phil’s Mickelsons, League 1: They’re undefeated in their conference, but a first round tourney exit at the hands of the Junk Mailers prevented them from having many more interleague games. Their position in the top 10 is tenuous at best.

9. River City Ransom, League 2: Undefeated in league 2, and convincingly so, their talent belies their mediocre 357 average SP. They’re good, but they’re gonna have to beat the teams ahead of them to move up the list.

10. Baltimore Crimewave, League 1: A brutal 6-4 record in conference play, and 5 losses overall looks bad on paper. However, those 5 losses were to Minnesota twice, Dallas, Tehran, and Mickelsons. They had a very impressive tournament run that ended at the hands of Minnesota, which offers hope for the rest of the season. They do however boast the highest average SP in the tier (386.82), so they are always dangerous, and they’ll make a tough playoff draw for any team.

Jeez, so much talk about the Junk Mailers....about time to step up to the plate and pay the piper....

Good analysis....where do you find the time to do this and not be able to scout your next opponent?

Bright and early tomorrow morning a few answers will become a little more muddled...

Nah, not really. Not where we're concerned anyway. It's pretty clear. Winner is #1, and loser is #2 in the tier. It's a big game in that sense. I posted when I did, because had I posted tomorrow afternoon, and the Junk Mailers happened to win our game, it would probably have looked like a brag thread. The whole point was to call attention to those teams in the other leagues that are pretty good too. Not call attention to my team.

Scout? Why would I bother? We know each other. You're gonna do what you do because you believe you can beat my team, and I am going to do what I do because I think I can beat yours. If I win, you win, it really doesn't make a damn. The next two times we play each other are the only ones that matter. Not this one. It's just another game. However I am more interested to see the outcome of this more than I would be for say a game with the Aggies, or against whomever is undefeated in league 5.

Good luck.

Edit: take the top 10 rankings with a grain of salt. There is a big drop between four and five.

Good luck...times 2. Not sure if you took my post in the nature it was intended, but I feel the same. Just trying to keep some friendly fire going...

GG Man

Looks like your returner felt very appreciated. I wouldn't be too surprised if that promo came with a happy ending. Now we'll reload and do it again tomorrow, without the BJ's for the returner.

Wasn't him.......Peterson had the promo, didn't really seem to make a lot of difference, but I can see how the return game could make anyone think it was Gale....but the return game is so much about luck of the draw in where the ball gets kicked and how the blocking stacks up....Gale was benefited by unfortunate kick placement from your kickers...

GG...without the kick returns would have been more interesting at the end, but a defensive battle should ensue again tomorrow.

Yeah, I know what is wrong with my special teams, and it isn't something that fixes quickly. Not before double boosting anyway. I hadn't really planned on being good before next season, and it shows in a few places, st's being one of those. You'll have that at this level.

I've got Jetnation at 11 or 12 tbh. You're almost there.

Also, if you like this, I made a suggestion that went to voting a few weeks ago to have official tier rankings kept up by GLB.

Bort even posted.

Could be pretty epic if it gets implemented.
