Yeah, because no one has ever started 1-1 before.

lol Yeah man GG. I did a little shout myself when I seen it after last season's games. We got two more matchups this season most likely. Plenty of time for me to feel that kick myself.

Well, some interesting outcomes this week in the West - Twelvers took out RRR, Junk Mailers pull out their third upset of the season and escape with another W and I was a little surprised to see my dots bounce back with a W over Baltimore. No one seems to be talking about West Lawn but they are kicking some names and taking ass. Damn, the Western side is just brutal.

Twelvers look pretty strong....have to go back to the drawing board after that ass-kicking....

What doesn't kill us will make us stronger....and we ain't dead yet...

I was bored at work and figure I could try to spark some chatter in the thread - sorry, did the western side only (no one cares about the east...

BADGERS TOP EIGHT - WESTERN CONFERENCE

1. Minnesota Junk Mailers - Easily playing as the top team in the west right now with impressive wins over the Badgers and Twelvers. While their O is raking up the yards and points one thing that separates this team from the other top tier teams is the D - allowing a total of 27 points in four games with a high of 17. The O doesn't have to put up much points with the D being so stingy. Teams have a lot of catching up to do to snag the Junk Mailers.

2. JetNation Titans - The Titans are going to have to beat someone of consequence to maintain their no. 2 spot in my rankings. JetNation has yet to play a team with a winning record and while the heart of their schedule lies in the second half of the season. The Titans balanced offensive attack is making it hard for opposing defenses to slow their O while the D has given up only 34 points on the season.

3. West Lawn Bulldogs - Similar to the Titans the Bulldogs have yet to play a team with a winning record and they'll get their first test of the season in week five to see if they truly belong in the upper echelon of the conference. The Bulldogs offensive bite has been on the strength of their ground game as its chewed through the opposition. The D isn't bad giving up a hair over 10 ppg.

4. Tehran Twelvers - The Twelvers were looking strong until their week four run in with the Junk Mailers. JM won by 14 but I don't suspect this will slow the Twelvers down as their ground game will be tough to defend. The running game is their O as they've completed only one pass for 4.5 yards on the season. The D has been tested - giving up 20+ in two games but to very good opponents (MJM and RRR). Expect TT to rise in the rankings as we move deeper into the season.

5. Red River Rampage RRR lost the the TT by 31 but have played tough outside of that lose. They'll have some smooth sailing for the rest of their first half schedule as their ground game will pound their opponents. The second half schedule will determine their seeding as everyone ranked ahead of them lies in wait. RRR's ground game carries them and in their lone loss its the passing game that end up hurting them.

6. Dallas Badgers - The Badgers were beaten silly by the MJM but did pick up a convincing W over the Crimewave. The next two games should determine the Badgers fate as they face West Lawn and JetNation. Wins would boost them up in the ranking but losses could cripple their playoff seeding hopes.

7. Baltimore Crimewave - I expected the Crimewave to be a contender for that 20-0 type of season but early losses to the Badgers and Phil's Mickelson's have derailed the hype. Still, the Crimewave have a very nice team and should begin to climb if they can start pilling up some wins - with MJM and the Twelvers in the next two weeks it may be a little longer than expected for the Crimewave to start making some arrests.

8. Baguio City White Lady They have two losses but those opponents are a combined 8-0 while they have two solid wins against Hull and Darwin. They'll need to continue to beat the teams they should win against to maintain pace for the playoffs. The D has settled down after their two opening losses and the team looks like a tough opponent.

ON THE FRINGE
-New Jersey Lions - have lost to some tough teams and face the Titans next. I don't see them winning here but can make some head wave if they can beat Hull and Darwin in weeks six and seven.
-Hull Spartans - their loss to the Baguio City White Lady's really hurts them. A killer schedule awaits and not sure they'll be able to handle the heat.

WEEK 5 PREDICTIONS:

Generation X The Prodigal Son vs. UH OH Squad - Both these teams haven't put a ton of points on the board in recent weeks but I expect a high scoring game here - Gen X with a stronger 4th quarter in a tight one.

JetNation Titans vs. New Jersey Lions - Lions getting two TD's a game against the big boys - they'll need about eight or nine here and that simply won't happen - Titans in a route.

Hull Spartans vs. The Glorious 55 - 55 is probably one of the biggest duds of the season (personally, thought they would do very well) in the conference and they won't let down from that in this one. Spartans own the second half and the 55's start the season with five losses in a row.

Red River Rampage vs. Baguio City White Lady- I think this could have been the GOW. I do think the RRR ground game will be a tad storng from BCWL to handle - RRR has enough late to hold off the White Lady 2nd half rally.

Darwin Desert Dingoes vs. Texas Aggies - Aggies haven't won a game and I don't think this is where the win streak will begin. Triple D by +150.

West Lawn Bulldogs vs. Dallas Badgers Just so the record is clear I would never pick against my own team. Ground game v. ground game and the Badgers will come out on top in a hotly contested dot game.

Bay Area Bulls vs. Tehran Twelvers - Bulls struggling putting points on the board and keeping them off - expect that trend to continue as the Twelvers walk away (I can already here the fat lady warming up).

Game of the week:
Baltimore Crimewave vs. Minnesota Junk Mailers Not sure this is GOW worthy as I expect a big W for MJM but the Crimewave certainly has the pieces in place to right their ship and win or make it a game. Not sure it will happen as MJM has just been dominate in all aspects and I don't think that will change this work. For the sake of the GOW - I got it going down MJM 42 and Baltimore 38.

Figured I could bust another one out heading into the weekend. 10 of 16 games today were shutouts...hmmm, maybe I over thought how competitive #1 would be.

WEEK 6 - BADGERS TOP EIGHT - WESTERN CONFERENCE

1. Minnesota Junk Mailers (5-0) - maintained their perfect mark on the season with a nice W over the Crimewave - a tough ball where they were out gained in yardage, lost the time of possession game, lost the turnover battle but still won. While some tough games will be coming up its possible the two undefeated teams left will meet up in three weeks - circle the calendar!

2. JetNation Titans (5-0) - The Titans coasted to an easy W against the Lions and as I said last week their schedule has been anything but brutal. They get their first shot against a top tier team as they face the Badgers in Dallas next week. A win here would certainly cement their number two ranking and could possibly argue them for the number one spot.

3. Tehran Twelvers (4-1) - The Twelvers licked their wounds from their week four loss and took it out on the Bulls 122-34. A tough game with the Crimewave awaits before a couple of layups in the schedule.

4. Red River Rampage (4-1) - RRR shutout a solid White Lady team and while I don't count it they got a big W over the Titans in tourny action (63-24).

5. Dallas Badgers (4-1) - Moved up a few spots in the rankings due a win over the Bulldogs. The Badgers could move up even more as they host the Titans this week.

6. Hull Spartans (4-1) - I could see this team dropping a bit with some tough teams coming up but for now they've taken care of business in four of five weeks.

7. Baltimore Crimewave (2-3) - While sitting at 2-3 I keep the Wave in the top eight simply because they have played (and lost) to teams with a combined record of 14-1. I agree, at some point, they need to win these games but a close loss to MJM (23-10) does show some light at the end of the tunnel for the Wave.

8. West Lawn Bulldogs (4-1) - Were up high last week but a 101-27 loss to the Badgers takes a little wind from their sail. They'll get a shot for redemption as they face the MJM and Wave teams in two of the next three weeks.

On the Fringe
-Generation X The Prodigal Son
-Darwin Desert Dingoes
-Baguio City White Lady

WEEK 6 - PREDICTIONS:
Texas Aggies vs. Red River Rampage - Aggies come in struggle at win no wins on the season. I expect a large margin of victory for RRR and some big rushing numbers.

Tehran Twelvers vs. Baltimore Crimewave - Wave looked solid against MJM but they'll face a tough rushing attack that I don't think they'll stop - Twelvers will score a lot of points and the Wave won't be able to keep up.

Minnesota Junk Mailers vs. Generation X The Prodigal Son - The Prodigal Son have lost two of three - expect this stat to read three of four by games end as MJM wins by 60+.

New Jersey Lions vs. Hull Spartans - Spartans not getting a lot of love from me but I suspect they'll continue to beat the teams they should - Spartans pull away in the second half of this game for the easy W.

Baguio City White Lady vs. Bay Area Bulls - Baguio didn't score in week four but they'll put up enough to beat the Bulls this week.

The Glorious 55 vs. Darwin Desert Dingoes - The 55 are not looking Glorious right now not having a vicotry on their resume - Triple D will get the W here by 20 or so.

UH OH Squad vs. West Lawn Bulldogs - The Bulldogs will right their ship after getting torpedoed by the Badgers last week.

GOTW
Dallas Badgers vs. JetNation Titans - This one should feature the Badgers (I know you all are thinking - when will he surprise and bust out the passing attack???) rushing game against a balanced Titan attack. I do think this one will be high scoring and of course I think my dots will win a tight one.
