I hear several teams are dropping due to issues. I am sure it will be improved this season, no worries.

My question is , are there any restrictions on who can enter? I looked back the last couple seasons' posts but didn't see any prerequisites for eligibility.

At the same time, I doubt I want to litter up the Tourney with a 4 cap team.

Nope No Limits at all. This is for GLB Teams. If they just want to see how they fair up with any team.
It isn't set up to where The TOP TEAM get easy wins at first. It's set up so anybody can Face anybody at any Given time.

I have alway had complaints about top teams Facing off at early. Yet this also opens the door for other teams. With this being a double elimination, a team can come back from the One loss bracket.

As Far as issues.....
Last season I had Planned on Being More aggressive on Forfieting teams. Although I try to work with some if a Game is in their regular GLB conferance schedule with-in a few days. I always respond that they have to make up the ground as well.
Season 18, My wife was in the Hospital 26 days. I wasn't expecting a long Hospital stay like that. yet she is well, and some teams took advantage of the situation.

This season, I'm not playing around with it. I thought about dropping it as well. although, this is for Any Agent that has a team to get many varities of opponents. From Good to great. Poor sportsmanship, will not be tolerated. Lets Face it, If it were someones wife other than mine, and they couldn't get a game scheduled, Would they be mad if I forfieted them?? Well, It was just reversed last season with team doing this.

However, All Good, If Only Eight Teams, The Tournament will go on. If 64 teams, the Tournament will go on, unless GLB cuts me from it. I just want for Team owners, and Players to have fun watching their Dots, as well as having FUN winf OR lose.

Glad to hear all is well now.

I like the sound of the Tourney, kinda like the FA Cup in English Football (Soccer) where lower tier teams can take on the top tier teams and become giant killers (obviously rare).

Ok, enough of giving these World Leaguers a first round bye.

My only question is, what about the "options" of a ranked or unranked game, whether home field is on or off, and what overtime rules to play, etc, of when you are setting up Tourney games. What are the typical options that should be checked??

I have always left it to where whoever sends the offer first, sends it however they want. If there is a problem with it, It is up to the team owners to solve the problem as soon as possible.

As a casual Lv 4, it up to you to really think about this, However, Your call.
