I agree, it's frustrating to a player, not to get XP because he was traded. It's also frustrating as an OC of an odd day team, not to be able to use a guy you picked up because he played the previous day. Another fix would be just to block even day playing teams from using a player that had played the day before.

Or even simpler retract the rule about player not playing the next day, and only allow 16 Games of XP per season.

this.
I had a player with a contract ending on day one and could not get the owner to release him even though I told him I was not re-signing with the team because I would be signing with my own team.
On day 2 I signed with my team but the dot was "unavailabe" even though he had not played a game yet. (Neither had the former team)

Disallow trades during weeks - trades between weeks ok - That allows for trades and prevents players from missing game xp

I'm shocked that this isn't getting 99.5% support in the votes tbh. I guess this proves that some people are voting w/o reading...or we have a few people who vote against alot of stuff just to vote against!

How does this fix the game of football? At then end of the day the website looks pretty but I still can't block a field goal.

this suggestion is 100 times more important than being able to block a FG.

That doesn't make sense as an answer though.

Think about it.

Your schedule is this:
Day 2,4,6,8,10,12,14,16,18,20,22,24,26,28,30,32
That's 16 games

You get traded at the end of Day 1 (or start of Day 2) to a team with this schedule
Day 1,3,5,7,9,11,13,15,17,19,21,23,25,27,29,31
That's 16 games.

Even if you are auto-added to depth chart you would only be able to play games
3,5,7,9,11,13,15,17,19,21,23,25,27,29,31
You are traded after Game 1 has already been simmed, so the earliest possible game you can play is on Day 3.
That's only 15 games.

The only way to make this possible is to make all games simmed at the same time (which is way too much of a strain on the system)
OR
Only allow trades to occur at rollover on odd numbered days.

The second is the most likely, but automatically inserting a player into a depth chart can mess up a lot in games.

LOLU at faking a quote to make it look like I answered your question with that. You are right however it doesn't fix that.

Fix The Sim die hard types. Fuck everything else until you fix the sim.

While I see their point, the sim isn't going to be fixed. Ever. May as well fix what can be fixed.
