yeah, I'm not 100% on with this one either, but I guess it's done to kill the SSBers. That said, even if you're sitting on 4 TPs on day 40, you'll still have 5 days to sign with a team and not lose out on any training (yes, I know you can't sign on day 41, but you can still try to use that day to select a team). At least that's the way I understand it. Don't know if it's good or bad, but it should help a small amount with pushing dots to sign quicker

That is Bort's logic. The only problem I see still is that he hands out teams late - new teams need to be given out sooner to avoid people NEEDING to stockpile TPs.

Going to be a very interesting season to watch as teams struggle to fill rosters .New teams coming in with a empty team to fill up and about 45% of the player base retiring to try this new build system out.The old teams might get by one more season but after this its going to be a night mare from what I am seeing.

I think a ton of agents have already went in this direction

I believe there is something that will be done to allow training in the off season if you are not on a team. I'm not Catch22 nor Bort, and I haven't actually checked deeper on the Test server, but that sort of issue is the one that the Testers very frequently bring over to the Test Forums and it gets addressed.

For example. the whole MaxXP thing was brought to the test forums and given a lot of visibility recently and its resulted in what appears to be an overall net+ for the health of GLB and the players and the owners.

Balancing plays is a lot easier, Blow Outs don't screw over your players as much, etc... let alone the Damage it does to SSB's and the damage they do to lower level leagues. Additionally, since teams no longer will field teams of 20-30 players to ensure they all get the max number of plays to get max xp which ends up resulting ion less fun games and blowouts etc.... instead can field a full 55 man roster still get everyone maxXP, making lower level leagues more competitive and fun to be a part of.

Since training in the off season is an important part of a players development (especially in longer off seasons) and being on a team isn't a guaranty, it is likely the testers and the player base's comments will not go unheard and an exception put into the training point scripts to allow training points if you are on a team or not during off season.

Or, the fact that SSB causes leagues to be watered down while these guys play teams full of CPUs or horrible players so that they're able to put their guys on a roster and sit, while gaining NO XP, but just training. This leads to so damn many 255-0 games, or just lopsided in general. Or, the fact that SSB is completely opposite of the spirit of the game, by sitting your player to just train.

SSB is a problem. It's not how the game was designed to be. If Bort says he doesn't want it, that's all that matters. Take a look at how skewed SSB makes things, both WHILE players are building, and once they actually start to compete.

well allow me to retort -too many teams and a poorly designed finance system creates the 255-0 games, gutting etc. But you're right about one thing: " If Bort says he doesn't want it, that's all that matters." and that's how it will keep going until GLB has about 10% of the people playing that it used to have and then maybe you guys will figure it out -but then again, maybe not. Either way, all my flex will be used up in a couple/three seasons so you won't have to hear from me about it any more

Cheers
