There have been several of us banging on this drum for a long time. I still would have loved to see 100% XP every game, but Bort is correct that it would make farming players way too easy, and give owners no reason to give players any PT if they chose.

This is a really fair compromise, and will help immensely with new teams not having to do split rosters when they start. That should improve league competitiveness, and reduce guts down the road as rosters consolidate.

Super, super happy about this. And, RIP SSB

Another great change to fix something that was not a problem. Who cares if people super slow build, you get like a one season advantage, everyone else catches up to your guy the following season and then your player ends up having 2 less seasons to play. But no no -gotta appease all the f'n whiners who started playing last week and think they should have a championship already and blame it on the slowbuilders, the 'super-slowbuilders', the demoted teams etc etc etc. and the admins all jump to quiet them by screwing the people who have been here forever dumping money into the game. Well, whatever you think is the way to go is fine with me fellas, I'm going to use up my remaining 'flex' and vote 'no' with my wallet.

Boy I can hear the cries now.*****Help I got released from the team I played on.I'm stuck between caps and nobody wants to sign me.*****

Feel bad for those ruined players due to being punished for a team releasing them..

I always boost all my players, but now builds are going to really matter so I will not be a booster anymore..........The game will change and builds are going to be more important. If you boost to quickly now it will hurt you!

They are doing it to force agents to put their players on teams... well, if agents dont like their options, I will be laughing when the players get retired, and less teams meet their requirements for a roster... that will be funny!

I wonder how awful a build has to be to not have any good options within a week of the offseason.

Or, the fact that SSB causes leagues to be watered down while these guys play teams full of CPUs or horrible players so that they're able to put their guys on a roster and sit, while gaining NO XP, but just training. This leads to so damn many 255-0 games, or just lopsided in general. Or, the fact that SSB is completely opposite of the spirit of the game, by sitting your player to just train.

SSB is a problem. It's not how the game was designed to be. If Bort says he doesn't want it, that's all that matters. Take a look at how skewed SSB makes things, both WHILE players are building, and once they actually start to compete.

I love the change, but IMO training should be possible in the offseason. Wouldn´t be of any help to SSBers but would relieve a lot of pressure from regular guys looking for a team, and save us all from the endless stream of bitching and moaning that will pummel the boards if it stays the way it is.

+1 - Doesn't make sense that you can't train, when testing free agency.. Rest is fine by me..

A Super Slow Death?

I want to thank Bort for making this change. Its a huge addition to the game that will pay off in the long run. I think we all need to understand that this does affect the 'bottom line' as a business decision. Because less teams will be needed to ensure maximum EXP.

Many Organizations/Cartels created teams with 20-30 players on them for bringing up their new players, and what this resulted in was lopsided low level games and less competition but it was necessary if you were 'hard core' to ensure your player would be competitive at later levels.

So, by making this decision bort hurt his bottom line, so we need to also show some support to Bort. I'm already planning to make a few more players because I am going to keep a couple I made around last season that we were going to retire and re-rebuild our team with the new Archetypes.

I am also going to keep ownership of one of my extra teams and put through a support request asking that it be moved to a CPU league as it will have no human players. I'll just let it ride out until the time I have already paid flex for it goes away.

In this way I am showing Bort I support his action and how it will have a long term beneficial effect for the game. Low leveled teams will now be more competitive and fun I hope, and new players coming in wont be as easily 'screwed' by owners either intentionally or unintentionally by making sure only specific players on the team are certain to get maxXP. Now it is so easy to esnure everyone gets MaxXP, new players to the game won't be held back by a bad first season or two when they know less of what is going on.

THANK YOU BORT!

kill the CPU teams. people pay money, they should be able to do with their players what they want. SSB or not.
