ffs

why do people still spout this retarded shit about QB strength always being halved

Didn't say that its always halved.

what is the deal with the Strength being cut in half, I still don't get it

But all I do know is my rushing QB also plays as a KR and yeah he has decent stats, when you compare him to other KRs around the same level, he is under-performing and I have a suspicion that this could be the reason why, because it sure isn't lack of KR abilities cause he is build the same or better than other KRsOriginally posted by Bort

It's only for when they are in passing mode, or should be, anyway, so they don't break every sack tackle. Also, QB's are generally pussies in real life.

I was just thinking that if QBs can be coded so that strength changes based on what they are doing, then K and P can too.

That said, i think Hikariu's suggestion is easier.

What about Specialists though? You can make an entire special teams army out of Ks and Ps, for half the price of normal specialists, and they'll end up being almost 15 points stronger.

Seriously, take a Boomer Kicker. 5th cap Strength first. That'll hit 102 at level 72. EQ goes into Speed. Now 2nd cap Confidence. That'll hit 80. Now you have from level 19 on to build the rest of your attributes. 3rd cap Agility, 2nd cap Vision (both receive .33 per level) then 5th cap Speed. So now (and we're talking about a level 50-52 ish dot here) you've got a special teamer running up and down the field with 95 Strength, 75 Confidence, around 72 Agility, 60+ Vision, and 112 Speed. Not to mention Tackling, Blocking, and Stamina all trained up to around 35-40.

Am I the only person that thinks that kind of build will make a damn difference when it hits level 68-70 and has blocking and tackling mixed in with already insanely high strength and enough spd/agi (120/75) to make plays? o_O

This is a non-issue. Anyone that would make a QB or K or P for coverage and return duty but not use the STOP archetype isn't exploiting anything, they are being stupid. Ks and Ps doing this would be wasting .67 per level in kicking/punting. QBs doing this would be wasting .67 per level in throwing, and .25 per level in carrying. You'd be much better off making the player an STOP archetype. You'd have to spend more of your SP in strength, but you'd more than make up for it with the greater SPs in speed, blocking, tackling, etc.
