Kickers, Punters, and Quarterbacks now have a path that will make them the strongest players in the game. That just isn't right. Since when are QBs stronger than DTs?

It doesn't really matter, their Strength is used for different things and even if they were to be put in a position like DT, they would be weaker due to OOP penalty. In a very real way, Strength has entirely different meaning for a QB than it does for a DT.

What about Specialists though? You can make an entire special teams army out of Ks and Ps, for half the price of normal specialists, and they'll end up being almost 15 points stronger.

Seriously, take a Boomer Kicker. 5th cap Strength first. That'll hit 102 at level 72. EQ goes into Speed. Now 2nd cap Confidence. That'll hit 80. Now you have from level 19 on to build the rest of your attributes. 3rd cap Agility, 2nd cap Vision (both receive .33 per level) then 5th cap Speed. So now (and we're talking about a level 50-52 ish dot here) you've got a special teamer running up and down the field with 95 Strength, 75 Confidence, around 72 Agility, 60+ Vision, and 112 Speed. Not to mention Tackling, Blocking, and Stamina all trained up to around 35-40.

Am I the only person that thinks that kind of build will make a damn difference when it hits level 68-70 and has blocking and tackling mixed in with already insanely high strength and enough spd/agi (120/75) to make plays? O_o

with so much changing this offseason it will take 3+ seasons to fix all the new exploits

Seriously, Catch, if you're reading this thread which I hope you are, nip this in the butt before a team tries to do it and then you have to screw them 3 seasons down the road when you realize it's over powered.

No way should K,P or QB be effective on SPTs(other than kicking and punting of course)

I could agree that K and P should be coded like QBs so that their strength is halved when they are not kicking, and after the kick is away.

OP is right, and tuba makes a good point, except make it count only when playing OOP like a Punter playing Kick/Punt Coverage. Same thing for a kicker.

I'm guessing that Bort has in place a new script for weight in relation into STR... If you are heaver than ( whatever ) then (skill that requires STR ) is normal. If you are lighter than ( whatever ) then ( Skill that requires STR ) is penalized X%.

Or he just did it by the Archetypes. It's likely a quicker check anyway. Might actually be one of the primary reasons for all this talk about Archetypes honestly. Easier to balance the game.

I've said it a million times before, and I'll say it a million times again: Strength has way too much of a role in pass velocity in GLB currently.

I should say the same thing about kickers as well. Having 70+ strength should not be necessary to have top range if you are a K/P. Halving QB strength is stupid. Halving K/P strength would be stupid.

Nip this in the BUD!

I don't know what "nip this in the butt" is supposed to mean, and I'm not sure I want to, NTTIAWWT.

"Nip in the butt" could be a new way to say "Bite you in the ass".
Therefore, nip this in the bud before it nips you in the butt.

Why can't newly created players have Arm/Leg strength?
