Warrior General Games

In undeniably the best game of the day, The Matrix 2 and SHANG HAI fought to a 21-20 finish--SHANG HAI had a 13-point lead late in the third, but The Matrix 2 dug deep and scored two unanswered TDs to come away with the win. I guess getting knocked out of the Copper Tourney this morning was loss enough for the Matrix players.

In the other biggest matchup of the day, the Buffalo Planeteers upset the Kiel Baltic Hurricanes 76-27, leaving the Tinies in sole possession of the top spot in the West.

Other interesting matchups:
Indy whipped Issaquah, the Cutthroats chugged the Beers, and the Mini San Dimas Sea Monkeys lived up to their preseason billing with a dominant win over Team MMA.

Surprise finish of the day: Hamilton Banzai Soldier very nearly pulled off the upset over the Great Value Fighting Generics. GV hit a field goal with 14 seconds to go to seal the win.

Only three undefeateds left, guys. Will anyone make it to the postseason without a loss?

Well, I'm a team member of the Hamilton Banzai Soldier, so, there is no secret to how I feel regarding this season.

This game we've just had was good: We've fought hard, but it was another loss, so it's back to the drawing board.

Having the second highest SOS lay waste to us doesn't improve much.

As the OC of Shanghai Bomb... I have nothing to say... Matrix just too good on both sides of the ball. With those boost players, we just don't have enough firepower to keep up. I am very glad that we fought to last minute

Yeah, the 100+ we're all scoring against CPUs really throws anything that uses averages into a tizzy. I may work on the script a little bit at some point to try to come up with some more reasonable numbers, but thought you guys would enjoy seeing some basic computer-generated score predictions.

I figured as much. I don't think either team will score into the 40's, but who knows. I'm thinking both teams will be closer to the 20's really.

Yeah, I'd be surprised if the total score went over 50. A good defense still trumps a good offense in the pee wees.
