A solid build who gets a lot of carries will get his yards. Passing likewise.
LOL. Just to throw a few facts into the discussion if we're talking about history . . .
Not sure who won the rushing title in season 6, but Fleet didn't even finish among the top 3 in the league in rushing yards (Davis Dominick from the Ninjas was 2nd and Kublai Khan from Ufa finished 3rd).
That season, the Ninjas' biggest blowout was 133-3, which isn't a traditional definition of a game against a "gutted" team, whether you want to call them a "cupcake" or not: http://goallineblitz.com/game/player_game_log.pl?player_id=51276&season=6&stat_type=raw
Prague, on the other hand, had 3 victories of over 100: http://goallineblitz.com/game/player_game_log.pl?player_id=44310&season=6&stat_type=raw
In season 7, the "turd" who won the rushing title was Davis Dominick, who may have played against some "cupcakes," but he didn't play against any gutted teams: http://goallineblitz.com/game/player_game_log.pl?player_id=51276&season=7&stat_type=raw
In contrast, Fleet Strong had one game against a gutted team, where he was able to rack up 499.5 yards of rushing, but he still wasn't able to beat out Davis: http://goallineblitz.com/game/player_game_log.pl?player_id=79982&season=7&stat_type=raw
In season 8, the rushing titles were broken up by Alpha and Zeta (Fleet finished second in Zeta), so your rationale doesn't apply there either.
