sounds good to me... I always post some links etc to the team forums when I sign to a d-league team (provided they aren't already posted) just in a vain hope that a new player will see it, read it and make a better player because of it

edit: oddly enough that's how I found out about slow building in season 6 or whatever it was, someone had posted a guide in the team forum and I read it after that I started looking on the forums to make even better players etc

Same here, that's why I always try to post a link or two every season in my Dev. players team forum. I never even visited the main forums here at GLB until I was in my third season at this game. The D-league forums were slightly more active when I signed on. I wonder how many new users this game has lost in the past due to new users joining a D-league team, seeing a dead team forum, and then leaving because they think there's nothing happening here.

I have been posting Rage Kinard's What you should have known thread. 0 replies.

A consolidated forum might help though.

It's gotten a few replies in some of the D-league forums I've posted it in, but not as many as I had hoped.

D-Leagues are more dead than team forums tbh.

great idea imo, one of the best I've seen in a while here.

and I would definitely support Dub J as the D-League mod (even though he hates DTD for some reason ). I've rolled and retired thousands of dots in the past season and a half and of all of the D-League forums I've been in, Dub usually has a post there with great info in it.

Dub J posted the link to that thread for me when I first started a couple of seasons ago. I was lucky to join at the end of the season, while he was still on that team. I went on to build a quality Pee Wee team that went 13-3 the following season (with my DC who was also new to GLB quitting mid-season) after studying how the game works during the offseason. If it wasn't for him, I would've got frustrated and hung it up by S14.

As others have said, some of the newbs will end up on dead D-league teams and won't have someone step in and show them the ropes, or in worse cases, end up on a team with some cocky prick calling himself a "leader" that thinks he can call all the shots, when he really sucks. A centralized D-League forum will give those players an opportunity to learn from those who know this game and help make GLB better and more competitive.

I would like to see the OP's proposed changes to the D-forums. I've been here two, three days and the D-forums even - especially? - the team forums are dead as last week's lunch. It would be nice to be able to chat with other newbies and the occasional vet, ask stupid "noob!" questions, get sensible answers that help figure out how to get the most out GLB. Please implement soonest! Finding the GLB Players' Association would be nice, too; please sticky that - the main? - GLBPA thread.
