It's no secret, D-league forums are highly inactive and don't really allow GLB to put it's best foot forward with new users. A centralized D-league forum would make for a better experience for new users and would allow more GLB vets to assist more new users.

D-league team forums should be done away with and replaced by a centralized D-league forum that everyone with a player in the D-leagues has access to. It would also be great if links and guides were stickied in that forum and the forum had some vets as moderators (similar to FAQ).

I stress that this forum should not be open to the public. Only people with players in the D-leagues and the mods for said forum (as well as full mods, FAQ mods, and admins obviously).

Just replace the link on their home/team page with a link to that.

Groovy idea tbh. All D forums are pretty much dead and useless to any newbs that join up and are looking for advice/guidance/human interaction.

Yeah, I have quite a few players with D-league teams every season. Every forum has one or two new users who introduce themselves and no one replies (unless I am there while they are still with the team). I figured if all those new users were put in the same forum there would be quite an increase in chatter between new users and especially new users and vets.

Insta-epic, imo.

I haven't had a player in the D's but maybe twice since I've been here. Once when I first started and then again just a couple seasons ago. Both times, forums were pretty bleh. Did have a few questions I answered but for the most part, it has to be pretty much a turn off with it being that dead to new guys.
One question I had to answer
"Who is the owner and why is a CPU starting over me?"

I figured this would pretty much be like bringing the FAQ forum to new users in a way.

I was just reading a couple threads from season 1 in the d-league forum, most of them are newbs yelling at the cpu coach for more playing time and EQ money anyway.

I like it...and I think myself and various other experienced users (FAQ regulars and the like) would probably make D-league dots just for the sake of having access to this pool.

A possibility is Isolating the D-League Forum from people who are not D-League Mods, FAQ Mods, Regular Mods, Admins, and those who have players in the D-League. This would prevent the average Joe from trolling and allow the new players the ability to learn from experienced players.

Yeah, that is the idea. I would like to see the D-league forum similar to the FAQ forum. Not completely like it, but have a minimal amount of spamming and trolling compared to the main forums. All this time there have been no D-league league forums so it might encourage a little smack talk between the newbies as well.

This would retain a lot of players who have been "ignored" and encourage them to stay and purchase flex and increase game play. Hopefully Bort notices the mods that are supporting this and implements it. Smack talk between newbies is always fun to read and laugh along with.

I would create a player just to learn more about this game. Even though I have been here since Season 3, all I really know is how to build a Coverage SS and have always wanted to learn how to build a pass-rushing OLB.
