Fuck passing. If the offense isn't fixed, I'll be out in S13 for OCing. Seriously, it's ridiculous. OT games are almost a given, 10 points or less is almost a given, no offense is a given. No HS team that is in a top league like this is going to average a whooping 100 yards per game and 3 PPG.
Here's an example: My HS team (Easton, PA) plays in one of the toughest divisions in the state of PA. Our conference has sent a team to States almost 10 consecutive years. In recent years, we've had the likes of Parkland (went to state championship in 07' and 08', lost both times but went in with a 24-1 record), Liberty (Won states in '09, QB is U.S. All-American at QB/S, was 15-0 total) and 3-4 other teams that had very stout and solid defenses for a HS team. Easton is one of the best programs ever to play in the United States, and in all the games I've seen over the last 6-7 years, not once have we been shut out in back to back games. Not even our bad seasons. Even when our QB barely knows how to pick up the ball off the snap, let alone pass, we still manage almost 150 yards at least. We go up against teams that literally have 2-3 players on their team that could start as a freshmen/sophmore for a team like USC/Florida/Texas.
Conclusion: Our team plays in a tough tough division, similar to Pee-Wee Gold, and we still manage to score points. We don't have games where the HB pitch is stopped 15 times in a row, and there seems to be no chance at getting an inside carry for more than 3 yards. We don't have games where a QB rollout is stopped 10 times in a row for a loss. So why does GLB? Bort wanted a realistic game, so at least make it more realistic. I know Pee-Wee players aren't like World League players, but they should know how to complete a pass, beat a man to the edge on a pitch or power him over, have common senses with direction. Seriously, how many HBs ANYWHERE are going to stop on an open route to the endzone and try to beat a man 5 yards away from him.
I'm done with this rant and topic. If bort fixes it, then so be it. But Easton plays the cream of the crop and score, so why can't we?
Note: I related to HS since the offense is most related, in sense of player development and offense type.
You sure bet I am. We got a game against Northampton tonight in the pouring rain, should be tough.
