You only have to look at how some teams in the silver league are faring in the tournaments to see that they are competitive with the gold league teams ...this isn't the case with teams from some silver leagues<.<

There are a few teams in Silver that are better than the worse teams in gold. Sure, some teams that won't cut it in gold will make it, but they'll easily be sent back to Silver after a season. Things will even out after a while.

fact is, in all levels of sports, opinions are not the way to get champions.
If a team wins the league, and gets the gold trophy, they DESERVE to be in the Gold league.

I understand what you say, but the current format as it stands doesn't allow for an equilibrium, and the imbalance isn't fair for all teams involved in peewee

You either win and get promoted or you don't. It's that simple and it is fair. Any other obscure method would be unfair.

If you're worried about losing the championship and not making Gold then gameplan so you can win it. If you don't make it, then you weren't the best... You can always try again next season.

Get a clue. There are 4 or 5 Silver teams that would be in a top 10 All Pee Wee ranking. Your team would be the 3rd or 4th best team in Silver 7 as well.

I don't want to be promoted from the Silver league until I have a gold trophy on my team page. I appreciate others don't follow the same thought process that I do, understandably. I spent a few season with me big boy team being promoted just for making the playoffs and it was frustrating to never win the championship. This was probably due to me not being very good at the game of course.

Golold seems to be awesome, silver is too damn easy. Not enough talent to fill 8 leagues after the elite have moved up to Pro. Should be four leagues and top of both conferences move up.

(Four leagues with 2 teams moving up each is actually HARDER than 8 leagues with 1 team moving up, so even though you are bringing in runners-up, the quality of teams in silver would be higher and therefore the teams would be more battle-hardened for Golold).

Currently my league (Silver 2) is much easier than the old league ten, so I'm looking forward to moving on.

I agree with this. I think it would actually be tougher to get to Gold AND you get better games. I know in Silver7, in my opinion we have 4 of the top 10-12 teams in all of silver (Andromeda, Final Thought, Crib Midgets, UFC), and it's a shame that only 1 will get to move on.

These guys said it all.

+1 million.

Added later: However, I do understand that the current way of doing this -- while not fair and equal -- is more realistic and therefore ultimately a good way to go. In the NFL there are great teams that don't get to the Super Bowl because they are in a tough division or conference, but rather than cry about it they just have to get better. Same thing here IMHO.

Agree.

Need to have the satisfaction of a league trophy to play in Gold.

We could have teams in gold that have never won gold otherwise.

ok then pucker up<.<

it doesn't necessarily mean that the geographical basis of that has to apply here ...this is the internet and I live in Australia ...should that mean that I get placed in a league of my own?!?<.<

dude that is a shallow way of looking at the big picture ...so what is your point if u have an inferior silver team that is gaining a trophy from a weak league, where if the leagues were more even you probably wouldn't even get a sniff of it ...and so u shouldn't ...how about allowing some justice to be served to more deserving silver teams, rather than some future loser gold team ...there is no satisfaction in having an easy ride through the silver on your way to being a gold league reject
