I would like to thank everyone to the first inaugural Africa Pro League Hall of Fame and the first induction class. This has been in the working for quite some time now, a little too long, but its all come together. These players were voted upon and entering into immortality by a voting pannel of the owners and GM's of this league. These players have all strived for excellence in the Africa region, and past or prescence have made a major impact on this league.

Its an honor for me to introduce the key note speaker, a player who was unanimously voted in, RB Jedi Knight of the Lake Opeta Legionnaires. As jedi is unfortunately "stuck" in the Bahama's with a Corona in hand and a bunch of beautiful women massaging him... his agent Buckly will speak in his stead.

"Jedi Knight Synonymous With African Pro League

The African Pro League has been home to some of the greatest players in GLB. Some have joined recently as more teams gain respect from their out of league play and others that played early on then retired or moved on to other teams or leagues. But the shining beacon for loyalty and consistency in African Pro League history is Lake Opeta Legionnaires elite, legendary HB Jedi Knight.

Prior to the start of season 3, Jedi sat down with Legionnaire owner Hokiemon to discuss a future in the newly formed African Pro League. Hokiemon outlined out a simple formula of powerful rushing game plus staunch defense equals Gold Trophies. Young Jedi was impressed and signed on to lead that rushing attack and has been the #1 HB in their offense for every single game in the history of the franchise. With all the retirements and movement through the history of GLB, this accomplishment stands out as a tribute to Jedi's integrity and loyalty.

And in keeping with that initial conversation with Hokiemon, Jedi lead the rushing assault for the Legionnaires to three straight African Pro League Championships in Seasons 3, 4 and 5. There are few, if any, other Pro level teams that can say they have three-peated and this accomplishment and the role he played in it holds a special place in Jedi's heart.

The world was able to catch a glimpse of how great the elite Jedi Knight is in the Season 8 Hazy's Free Flex Giveaway. Game after game he led his team with a solid rushing attack and was rewarded by his worldwide peers with the honor of being the Tournament MVP in a Final Four that showcased his talents head-to-head with another elite back, Larry Csonka of the Monmouth Evil Monkeys. Jedi accounted for all the Legionnaire TD's in that game and his teams victory sealed the MVP award.

Jedi is quick to acknowledge that his success stems from having such a powerful offensive line and dedicated QB's throughout the years and that he shares this honor with all his LOL teammates past, present and future. Even Legionnaire CB Pacman Asomugha."

Without any more delay, im proud to present to you the first ever Africa Pro Hall of Fame class!

The only thing that I would ask to be added on would be the position that they play for future reference

Forgive me for my ignorance, but I truly do not know what positions some of the players play in.

Again, congrats to all the inductees.

so you boiled his entire career down to one game... and a pretty bad one for him on top of that

and the list is very good, all of them have been defining players for their team and solid performances, I can say the same thing for the jury, a perfect job

Thank you from Big Ben Young

I am pleasantly surprised to be noticed that I am voted into the APL HoF. It is the greatest honor to me so far in my career. I really enjoy my stay in APL in spite of getting assigned there against my wish. It turns out to be a special experience to me, so I have to thank everyone who has been in APL with me.

Big Ben's career highlights start from Season 3 in Western Europe AA, where he won the trophy of Most Hurries in regular season. The trophy remains to be his avatar every since. He destroyed opponents passing game in the playoffs that season, and helps his team win League Championship along the way. After joining APL, he won the trophies of Most Fumbles Forced, Most Sacks, and 3rd Most Tackles, all in Season 5, his career season. He went on to win Most Sacks in Season 6, and 3rd Most Fumbles Forced in Season 7. At the moment, Big Ben is #1 in Conference All DE D Rank AND Conference D Rank, and surprisingly, #37 in Global D Rank, right after helping his team win League Championship in Southeast Asia AA in Season 9.

I have to thank my D Coordinator to use my strength to the max, and thanks to all my fans for supporting me over the seasons, and certainly I have to thank Bort for his secret push behind Big Ben's success (just kidding). It's very comforting to see most of my DE proteges doing very well in different teams and having different levels of success across GLB. I can say this with confidence that Big Ben Young is among the group which changes the way people build an OT forever.

Again, many thanks to the friends, rivalries, and voters in APL. I deeply appreciate it, and I cherish my experience there. Thank you, APL!

Watch out, QB around the GLB world! Big Ben Young and his DE army are going to get you behind your back!

Best,
Big Ben Young

Thanks for reminding me... I caught that earlier but forgot to change it. Purely accidental, switching it to the player link now.

Before any arguement breaks forth. Tea Baggins was agreed upon as 100% worth and considered a lock for next season, the forum as a whole (minus one or two people) just felt that Tea needed to wait another season before being inducted into the APL HoF for his africa work. The numbers are a no brainer though (MVP MVP MVP!), it was just a "period of time" issue.
