So you guys may have heard that awhile back I put up a post in the Offensive Coordinators forum looking for some new plays. They were very helpful and created some posts to keep things organized, and submitted a bunch of good plays.

Bort has now looked through them, and has created a few of them on the test server for us to try out. I'm going to list the new plays for now, and I'll work on getting some sims going with examples of the plays in action to come soon.

Note that this is really only the start, and isn't the final list of things to be added. Bort said himself that he'd like a "much expanded playbook" by the end of the season.

Adding a lot of offensive plays during the season? Are we sure we want them live "before the end of the season"? Or are they wanted to just be in place, waiting for the coming season? Because I can see a lot of people being pissed, on both sides of the ball, if they have to test new plays live or pay for friendlies.

This is great. The playbook has needed these options for some time. I would welcome them whenever they are released.

I'm excited, though might agree next season is the best time if it is a MAJOR playbook change, just for the sake of OCs and DCs who are already in a rhythm.

Much appreciated, very happy about this though, keep it up and thanks for keeping things public.

I agree, especially since we'll be adding quite a few. I'm working on building up the playbook for the next season, not this one.

I agree, especially since we'll be adding quite a few. I'm working on building up the playbook for the next season, not this one.

Ok guys, just setup the first sim. Should be up any minute now.

Going to watching Miami's Offense against Florida's Defense. Florida has basic D only, Miami's AI looks like this:

1st Down
50% Shotgun 5WR Shallow Cross
50% Shotgun 5WR Comebacks

2nd Down
50% Pro Set Drag Short
50% Pro Set TE Screen

3rd Down
50% Pro Set Double Fly
50% Shotgun 5WR Hitch Corners

does this mean that QBs will be able to make pre-snap reads and audibles at some point?

TE motion looks really cool, but it's not that much different than just lining up with the TE shifted right now...

This will completely take out full zone coverage unless there's a way to flip the entire defense pre-snap.

why not make him start were he is and go all the way
