just use the greasemonkey script. it is easy to download and easy to use. I havent had a problem with it yet. all you have to do is install firefox, then grease monkey, then the user script that enables you to use it. it is easy.

I have installed it and tried to use it. Except when I try to save the play as a new play, it just changes the name rather than saving it as a new play. Anyone care to explain what I've done wrong?

Btw, I am NOT trying to transfer plays between teams just to be clear. I am simply trying to save the same play as a new play on the same team. A suggestion mod told me that this would work, but so far, it has only renamed the play and thats about it. If this script will not save the same play as a new play, then please let me know and I will open another thread on the suggestion mod about my problem.

Thanks

The thread you made got lock because some people didn't read it right, I made that thread a few days ago bort responded and deathblade made a script to fix YOUR problem, not what people think yours is.

Considering that there isn't any "real" way to move normal AI from team to team, I have a feeling this is more likely to be done first, though it'll be time consuming.

Perhaps Bort could set up some sort of communal pool of DPC ideas that we could click on and bring to our teams. Saves the trouble of every team making some SS Cover 1 schemes or other common plays. Adding a play you make to the pool would be optional, of course.

I just thought of that - some sort of "play exchange" or something? Or maybe an ability to give certain people access to view your plays and copy them?

Imo, there needs to be an option to appoint someone as the OC or DC of a team. Our playbooks should be attached to our (OC/DC's) individual accounts, not the teams we coach for. If an owner fires his DC he deserves to lose that playbook.

If this were the case, we wouldn't have to copy individual plays and it would keep the work performed by Coordinators in their hands.

Just my $.02

Each agent, once appointed to a GM position (with access to DAI/OAI), should be able to save any playbook to his/her own account so that if he/she becomes OC or DC for another team then they can just upload a ready-made playbook.

I think also that the owner of each playbook should have an option to let the team have the playbook after they leave as GM or take it away. If you DC a team that treats you well and you just have no time to DC anymore, you could leave the playbook, or if the team treats you like crap after you do a heap of work, then you can take your playbook and make them start over.

How is this EPIC?? Its a "convenience" suggestion for the lazy and is no where near making the GLB and its game any better! Like WFT, theres tons of waaay better suggestions to help gutted, CPU teams, finances, mondain player/stadium builds.

How do i become a mod and make threads EPIC if i feel its a +1 to me personally, this didn't even get to page 3 when it was made EPIC!!!!

Do you know how much work goes into making an offensive or defensive playbook, create a heap of new plays on the DCP, then set up multiple presets to cover different teams and play-types?

It takes hours and hours and days of work for a lot of people who don't sit on GLB 24/7. Plus the fact that the defense now have the ability to create a lot of new plays which will be better than the old AI was able to do. DCs must now create a multitude of custom plays, then implement them into the AI, then test out the AI and make changes all in a 10 day preseason. Most of the old AIs were tried and true for those who have used them for along time, and now they are starting again with the new methods.

This idea will make the time to construct a good AI much less than it currently is.

I agree with you 100%, I ran a team like that and have gone Casual since because of all that work and dropped like 3-4 GM positions is my solution. But if you compare apples to apples, there are lots of "convenience" suggestions to make less work and they don't get any attention except negative ones if its a mod and then it never sees Epic after that.

How about trying DC less teams = less work, or go casual or get lost and stop whining about too much work to make a new gameplan! Theres a negative counter-suggestion, why did the mods not come up with this defence against a convenience suggestion....

This is probably the better suggestion. AIs saving to teams and not to individual agents seems a bit ridiculous. Why should anybody have to fully recreate an entire defense, some having dozens of inputs and 3 or 4 times the outputs, if not more. I know people will say to just get the greasemonkey for it, but that shouldn't be used as a fix for valid solutions. Greasemonkey should be for little addons like the combine stuff or the team rankings on team homepage.

this is the way I see it, OC's and DC's currently have to use a GM Script to move their AI's to different teams that they work on. Why not make it so that Playbooks and Tactics can belong to a Agent and be loaded into any team that they Coordinate for.

Make it so...

This scenario is prime example of why this should be made available. The next major update for GLB should include this for coaches. Now that there are playbooks to be customized this is a must have for GLB.

This is a great idea, and one I like very much because quite simply, if I put a lot of time and effort into an AI, on either side of the ball, and suddenly an "fired" (removed as GM, had GM access to AI removed), I don't want to leave my hard work behind so they can use it still. I want them to lose not only me, but my work as well, since I'm the one who did it.
