"End on day 40 contract only" Lot of new owners make the mistake of sending one yr offers.

Current list of reasons:

I have chosen a contract from another team
I want a higher salary
I want a higher signing bonus
Contract length is too long
I want a no trade clause
I am already committed to another team
I am looking for a higher tier team
I don't think I match the league level range
I want to be a starter

That's a good one.

I like the one you said Nixx about "Don't want to join a team right now"

How about a text box where you can type a limit of 50 characters?

This would work rather than having 20+ options to scroll thru.

another suggestion: "I am slow building and not interested in joining a team"

How about "I don't want to join a team right now"? Don't have to specifically mention slow building.

That would be okay if owners then didnt keep sending PMs trying to "convince" you how it would be better to be a backup on their team. Anything vague just opens the door to be pestered for more details.

Maybe "I am not entertaining offers at this time"

Alot of these wouldnt be necessary if players had the option to autoreject all incoming offers. I've gone so far as to change my avatar on a few players to say no contracts, yet still get 1 a day even tho my builds are closed, and I'm not in the marketplace.

Why not just edit this into the OP?

Better yet, add in a place where we can type something instead.

I would bet that this would be mostly used inappropriately judging by many of the forums.

Yeah...no. And no "other" either. People would just choose "other" every time and defeat the whole purpose.

I like some of the others, though.

There has to be an "I don't want to play for your team," to cover a case where it's the team and not the offer. Another more specific one is "I don't think your team is competitive enough," to cover when you reject because you can see the team is gutted and don't want to be a part of losing almost every game.

It might be unfortunate that people make such choices as the second, but they do (and yes, I do as well).

Weighing options would be a good one. That is the one I needed earlier when I rejected an extension.

Are people opposed to sending PMs for a lengthy response? I'd use the canned rejections for blind offers, but if I've been dealing with somebody via PM, it's only respectful to let them know (in "person") why you're rejecting them.

I think this is more for the millions of unsolicited offers FAs get or in response to a market ad.
