"Currently Not Looking for a Team"
"End on day 40 contract only"
"Looking for a more competitive team"
"I am going to be retiring my player"
"No message sent, offer denied"
"Signing with my own team"

That's all there is so far.

Current list of reasons:

I have chosen a contract from another team
I want a higher salary
I want a higher signing bonus
Contract length is too long
I want a no trade clause
I am already committed to another team
I am looking for a higher tier team
I don't think I match the league level range
I want to be a starter

I just noticed that we now, as agents, have the chance to give reasons why we have rejected a contract. Most of my players are locked up long term (and have been) so i didn't notice this.

Anyway, none of the reasons that I can choose from effectively communicate my reason for rejecting the contract offer. And I am afraid that picking some of the other options would just send the wrong message.

I would like there to be an addition of something as simple as "Other".

Better yet, add in a place where we can type something instead.

I would bet that this would be mostly used inappropriately judging by many of the forums.

True...but it'd also get used sometimes, like "Your team was at the top of my list, but my team is having a lot of trouble finding a WR, so I had to bring my guy in to cover my own inability to recruit and play 5th for me"

Actually happened to my team. Another player by that agent signed with another team, in his "welcome aboard" thread I asked him about it, that was his response. Nice guy.

I would like that. I was sent a PM regarding an old recruiting forum thread about my QB (kill the recruiting forums, but that's a different thread) and when I responded to him that he was signed but thanks for the offer, he said no one really ever bothers giving feedback about rejected offers. Seems as though a lot of people have poor people skills.

I usually feel that the more feedback is given, the better.

Maybe it's premature, but this looks epic. I mean it's probably pretty easy to add, and maybe Bort wants ideas on things he didn't think of.

At minimum I'd want 'Other'.

'Not interested in your team.'

Other would be good.

I would also like to type something in a box as to why I didn't sign with a particular team. This will be misused by some, but most will use it as it is intended.

Just like this forum. Some people just post dumb stuff, but most just want to make it a better game.

Because it looks like you are forced to choose one of them when you reject an offer. Maybe you aren't?

How about "I don't want to join a team right now"? Don't have to specifically mention slow building.
