I have an idea, sparked from another thread and from previous thoughts, on how to do something similar, to save formation specific and per-output depth chart presets.

The main problems that come up when I look at this, are with cleaning up depth chart presets when players are added and removed from the team:

- When you remove a player, each depth chart needs to be scanned and that player removed from the chart.
- When you add a player, you have to add the player to EACH depth chart so he can play.

With one depth chart, it's not a problem. We can scan it and remove players, and it's easy to add players because you only have to do it once.

Let's say you have 10-15 custom depth charts, for various formations and situations. Now you add a LB to your team. You have to go through all your charts and add him in. Annoying.

Any ideas on how to streamline?

You say annoying to add them...I say annoying to not be able to have personnel for certain packages. I guess have 3-4 standard packages and a few 'custom' depth charts.

Then have a 'global depth chart' that if you add a player to ROLB and want him there in all packages then you add him through the global depth chart. So for example defensive depth chart would have the following in a drop down menu

--4-3
--Global
--Standard
--Nickel
--Dime
--3-4
--Global
--Standard
--Nickel
--Dime
--Goalline
--Custom1
--Custom2
--Custom3

na the way I think is like this:

43
Drag and Drop DC

34
Drag and Drop DC

Nickel 335
Drag and Drop DC

425
Drag and Drop

Dime
Drag and Drop

Quarter
Drag and Drop

GL

Easier way would be to attach it to the AI or Custom Play Creator as a drop down. Bort do you think it would be fair to add it in before playoffs or would that be something for the offseason. I think it would be better to hold off until the offseason, because of how late it is, and it would give teams time to experiment with packages, rather than win or lose games based off packages.

Something easier to do bort.

Use tabs like you have in the forum now

|4-3 |3-4 |4-2-5 | ect. ect.

each tab has it's own DC.

Then there's a master tab, where it shows all positions for all formations. Where if you add a player it adds him to all the formations if applicable.

The master or global tab/option is the key component

It doesn't really address/solve the problem I'm talking about. I know how I will do the separate DC interface. It could even allow custom ones for multiple looks per formation, that could be loaded via the advanced AI.

The problem that adds annoyance to updating DC's:

Take the position MLB. It exists in every formation. Let's say my default DC says:

MLB
Bob
Jim
Fred

I make a custom override on MLB for Nickel formations to:

Nickel MLB
Jim
Fred
Bill

Now I add another LB to my squad, Jerry. When I add Jerry to my default depth chart, I also want him added to the other depth charts at MLB, without having to go through every single one. Where does it add him? How do I do it?
