Does it really matter when the only thing the offense can do with a TE on the right side is pass block?

IMO ignore this for now, revisit when the TE run a route or run block from the left side.

How come this hasnt happened yet? I hate the fact that the ROLB (WLB) comes off the field in nickel situations. The LOLB (SLB) should come off.

That's not true though. I does matter. When there are 3 WRs on the field I want my speed LBs on the field. Not my power SLB who takes on the TE.

That's a different issue. There are lots of defensive personnel matchups that could be implemented but aren't. For example the ability to use one set of DEs for 3-4 defense or run stopping situations, and another set of DEs for 4-3 defense or pass rush situations. But this thread is about matching up with the TE side.

I think this is absolutely necessary if we are going to allow the offense to move the TE around.

Truth^. In the old days, when the TE stayed on the strong side, there was no need. But now, there is, with the ever-changing custom slots.
