I'm talking 40+ stamina. Bort has altered the breath formula to make it much more relevant. My D line has mostly 33-35 stamina while playing a computer team, in the first half the pocket would collapse immediately but in the second half we weren't getting any penetration.

This isn't new.

Actually, yes it is. When Bort essentially removed the energy bar, he made the in game breath much more important.

I've noticed a difference on all of my players, but especially the D and O line.

No it's not.

In game breath is the same as it was last season. It's just going to be dialed up little by little as the season goes on in terms of how much it impacts you, but I really doubt you notice anything right away.

And Bort didn't remove the energy bar. It's just made now that you see your "real" energy after each game, as opposed to the energy you saw previously. Mechanically, it's exactly the same, because even with seeing the "real" energy you finished the game at, you will automatically get back to 100% energy for each game.

So nothing is different there at all, except for the fact Bort has already said he will slowly begin dialing in a greater effect for energy on performance as the season goes on, as a means to encourage teams to get more depth.

many other reasons for that happening:

most likely had more back-ups in and most likely got pancaked a few times, or other morale lowering events

to put it all on stamina is incorrect.

I got hammered on energy in my first games on multiple players. Either my players are out of shape due to the offseason and expending far more energy in far fewer plays or the new settings are going to require us to soft cap stamina by the time they are fully dialed up.

ENERGY HAS NOT CHANGED AT ALL.

What you see as "energy" has changed in DISPLAY to you only.

If you are at 30 energy after a game, it means you would have been at 58 energy in the old display system.

The formula for this is (100+30)/2.25=57.7
Where 100 is your energy display before the game
30 is your freshness after the game
and 57.7 (58 when rounded) is what your energy would have been after the game with the old display settings

This leads people to believe that they NOW need more stamina.
No.
You needed more stamina then too, you just didn't realize it because you thought that since you saw 58 and not 30 that you never dropped below 58 in the game. This is false.

You also have to realize that more stamina is required as you level up. Higher level players use more stamina to do the same thing.

Actually you would have had 72 stamina

energy = ((freshness + (player's current_energy * 1.25) / 2.25) - Formula in the announcement. Forgot the the *1.25 part.

Stamina has always been important and underrated imo , but now it has a shiny little number after a game everybody is realising that .
