What's the difference between position battles and extra pre-season games? What's the difference between owners just giving players salary if they want during the offseason and as a result the players can train themselves?

This seems like a big suggestion for benefits each of which can be done within the scale of the current game.

Yeah but the whole point is to keep the people interested and active in the offseason, not to just pull off the benefits in the simplest way possible.

How is this suggestion more "interesting"? The owner sets the training plan instead of me? That's less interesting to me! Position battles are more interesting than pre-season games, which are the actual position battles in real football? I don't think so!

I think taht the simplest way possible is also the most interesting way: players set their training, and we have more preseason games. You know what I think is the best way to handle the situation: from day 41 to 47, when there is free agency, have preseason games too. nobody cares about them because they're meaningless from a season standpoint, but they're games that you can have fun with as owners, and players get to watch and analyze their LOLdots. or, just allow friendlies any day possible. then the teams who want to play get to play instead of recruiting.

Cool idea, but I think there needs to be some kind of cost to teams. Give like a 10% training bonus, but teams have to rent a practice facility.

If you read Bort is in here talking about how he could go about doing this

Maybe make in an optional thing that players can choose to attend at the cost of TP. Failure to show up would result in a moral hit. Just an idea.

Yeahh, it's not really that it's the team owners setting training instead of you because normally you wouldn't have any training. It's an extra thing for teams to get an early look at how their players will develop and perform. I would assume it'd be totally optional because in the NFL you always see players skipping OTA's or even holding out of Training Camp, this only makes it more realistic.

i was told to add to this so my thing is that i think that having a mini camp 2-3 days in the off-season could help every person's players. people could pick what they want their players to train on during the mini camp process

Why not allow owners to let players "walk on" to training camp? that would allow the team owner to evaluate him and see if he's good enough for the team.

I totally agree like if someone was unsigned the team owner could invite them to training camp or the player could walk on?

And maybe add position battles, like in training camp scrimmage games take the stats and in preseason as well
