I Just paid 1000 flex points for two seasons.. I am number 800 something on the waiting list... how do i know when a team is available to pick up and how do i pick it up? will i get a PM about it? what box is this talking about? "If there is, it'll pop up into the BOX. Then you can buy it." I dont see any box when I cycle through the leagues and find a team that is CPU owned..

How can you possibly get 1000 flex points, and then after 2 seasons pay another 400 oer season?

IMPORTANT: Right now all teams are sold out and the only way to get one is to wait until someone sells their team. YOU CANNOT BUY D-LEAGUE TEAMS!!

1. How do I own a team?
-----a. The first thing you need to do is to see if any teams are available. There are 2 ways to do this:
----------i. Option 1 (better way): Click the "Flex Point" tab on the top of your screen. Then click "Buy Team". Now you have to cycle through all the leagues to see if there's a team available. If there is, it'll pop up into the box. Then you can buy it.
----------ii. Option 2 (other way): Click on the leagues tab on the top of your screen. Click through all the leagues and if you see a team with a CPU next to it, then it's up for sale. You'll have to do Option 1 to buy the team.

2. How much does it cost to buy a team?
-----a. It costs 1000 flex points for 2 seasons and an extra 400 flex points for each subsequent season.

3. Are there any prerequisites to buying a team?
-----a. No, you just need flex points.

4. Can I have more than 1 team?
-----a. As of now no. If you already have a team you'll be locked out of the buy teams screen.

5. How do other people have more than 1 team?
-----a. People were allowed to have more than 1 team prior to the latest expansion. They will not lose the extra teams that they purchased at that time.

6. Can I buy more seasons after I already bought the team?
-----a. Yes, there is now an option to "Extend Team Ownership" on the Flex Points page. Just click the tab and you'll be allowed to buy more seasons.

7. How can I tell how many days I have left on my owner contract?
-----a. Go to the Sale Options page. You'll see how many days you have left.

8. Can I sell my team to another person? If so, how?
-----a. Usually you can't sell your team to another person. The most common case of this being allowed is if the team's owner wants to sell it to the GM. But in order to do this, you need the admins to do it for you.
-----b. Most of the time the person selling the team sells it back to the CPU for a pro-rated price dependent on how long he's owned the team.

9. How much time do I have to put into owning a team?
-----a. This all depends on two factors, how much you want to put into a team and how many people you're willing to delegate the job to. It can range from a couple minutes a days to a few hours.
-----------i. You could run a team with all CPU's or with players that you made yourself. If you do that it'll be fairly easy to run the team because you don't have to communicate and deal with people. If you do this, you're missing out on a large chunk of what this game is about. If you choose to run a team like a community, with an active team forum and multiple users, you will have to put much more time and thought into it, but it will enhance your experience much more.
----------ii. If you have multiple GM's, each who takes care of one facet of running the team, your job as owner is much easier. But you must be able to trust these GM's. If you give them privileges and they choose to abuse it, it is on you, the owner, because you gave them the privilege. So be wise in choosing your GMs.

10. How does an owner's screen look different from a player's screen?

This is the question everyone seems to be asking, so I've made screenshots of my team the New Brunswick n00bs. The 2 people that I use as a free agent and trade target are random people (if you are one of them and you want me to change the image let me know):

There are few out there that are not sure what is meant by a "capped team". Could someone with a little more experience explain it? From what I understand is that if you have say a level 13 capped team that means that you can not sign a player over level 13. However during the season that player by progress to higher levels. Also at the end of the contract that player can not resign with the team that is capped at 13. Do I have this correct or am I missing something?

now what if you can't find all the players you need before the season starts? Also how can you tell if it is a player or a CPU? In the past cpu was always next to the name. But I am not sure if it is still the same now.

It will say 'cpu' next to the name.

If you cannot find enough players, for whatever reason, cpu players will be assigned automatically.

Yes, some teams have a white rename tab next to the colour change tab.

If that is not there, then PM support. They can change it for you.

When you sign up for this team list and the option with "Max Level Cap Wanted:"

What does it exactly mean?
Does it mean that when i start with this team it is max lvl 13 players who can get on it in the first year with the team?
OR
Does it mean that the max lvl is always 13 and when a player get over 13 and his contract expires he can't get on the team any, since it is for lvl 13 players?

Certain teams have level caps for new signings/trades. They grow over time and eventually are uncapped. For example a level 13 capped team would increase to a level 16 capped team halfway through the season and by the following season would be a level 21 capped team. It's only for new signings/trades, though. You can resign anyone even if they were over the cap.
