Oh yea, you go ahead and take Jacobs over SJax, beautiful move - you can come give your $$ away to me in one of my leagues anytime.

Jackson is going too high in drafts. With bulger hurt already, limited receiving options...I will go with the TD machine running behind the Giants O-Line.

I play in about 3 fantasy leagues each season. If you want to play, lets get in a league (i wont play if money isnt involved because i wont pay attention).

I play in about 10-12 a season, so we might have to wait until next year, and yes - they are all for $$$.

And for the record, Sjax's team doesn't look much better or worse than it did last year.

In the SJax/Jacobs debate, noone has brought up Ahmad Bradshaw vs.... who? Ahman Green? Jackson doesn't come out... Jacobs does. So while the Giants may get more yards and points, Jacobs will be on the field for a lesser %-age of those. Jackson is it for St Louis.

What this means is if Jacobs goes down, other Giants are still viable options because Bradshaw keeps them honest. If Jackson goes down, the Rams are screwed. So factor that into drafting other players on those teams. But if Jackson or Jacobs both stay healthy, the only one losing touches is Jacobs.

agreed. I simply expect Jacobs to do more with less touches. based on Jacksons ADP (1.08) he should go before my selection and I can grab Jacobs in round 2

And I doubt that because Jacobs has no value in the passing game and unlike Jackson, he hasn't shown that he can stay healthy and be a dominant player for a season.

I don't play for money, it's not fair to my opposition.

Because I'd rather have him over Roethlisberger, the game manager?

He's about as much as a game manager as Aaron Rodgers is a sure thing.

i played in 7 max, just didnt like managing that many teams because its too time consuming. Last season i did score the most points of all teams in 2 leagues out of 3 i play. Of course the payout is only for winning the title and my teams shit it in the playoffs

Eli is nowhere near my top 10, he's in my 13-16 range. And yes, his conditions are harsh but it's not like he's a lot better on the road, in Eli's career, his home and away numbers have usually been fairly close.

The guy is a mid-20something who has won a SB and led his team to the playoffs every season he's started. He's not going to set any records and of course the entire team plays into success, but there's no way there'd be 10 teams that passed on him if he were available free of charge.

If EVERY QB was available, I don't think he'd be taken until the 13-16 range. And I'm not asking for records but his completion % and QB rating are pretty awful, he has had 1 respectable season as a QB which was last year. If he can replicate it, he'll jump up lists but after Plax left, his numbers dropped so that doesn't sound good for Eli. However, Hakeem Nicks looks like Boldin 2.0 so that could end up helping him.

Two things here, the first is his offensive line was not great when he came into the league. One of the starters was a walk on then. In fact, looking at his o-line now, he has: 5th round draft pick LOT, not drafted LG, not drafted C, 2nd round pick RG, 3rd round pick ROT. Now before everyone jumps in on the "just because you weren't drafted in the first round doesn't mean blahblahblah..." still, it does mean that this talent that has developed took some time to come together, and they probably weren't near as effective when they first started as they were two years ago.

The second thing is this: 13, 28, 25, 27, 27. Those are Eli's sack numbers for his first five years in the league. Bulger: 41, 26 (8 game season), 49, 37 (12 games), 38.

Now the reason these points must be brought up together is yes, obviously, a QB's sack numbers should go down the better the o-line is... but the QB's ability to scramble and throw the ball away have a big part to do with it as well. If Eli's accuracy is shaky on paper, but he's avoiding sacks by throwing the ball away... do you really think his accuracy is a problem?

I think you're very much underrating Eli's OL, the Giants have one of the best OLs in the NFL especially when it comes to run blocking. As for his sacks numbers, Eli's does avoid some sacks and everyone knows Bulger is a statue but Eli's OL is one of the better pass blocking OLs in the game.
