Look, I failed to judge the tournament properly.
I fantasized a draw tourney much like the FA cup or FA trophy in Britain, where a tier 6 soccer team like Ebbsfleet may end up against top tier Manchester United, both with respect beyond tier.
Or perhaps I had an idea it was much like the NCAA bracket where a small school could challenge a large school with a chance to win. Surely, real life is far more unpredictable, where March Madness brackets never pan out as expected.
What respect have my Masons earned thus far? None. What have they won? Nothing. How many regular season games have they even played? Zero.
I understand where owners come from where they say playing a scrim would be a waste of both flex and time. If I was in their place, I can't imagine thinking any different.
No doubt, every owner who's reached Pros or beyond has done so by no mistake. They have put forth more time, effort, and (perhaps) money than everyone else. They deserve their status and the respect they command from it.
It's from this respect, I am withdrawing the Masons from the Real Tournament.
My Masons will grow, and one day earn their spot in the tournament.
My thanks to Lilcokeman for putting forth great efforts into running this longstanding tournament. Also thanks to him for standing by his word, though he needn't have to apologize to anyone for doing so.
Still, I realize now he only wants, and deserves, one of the top tournaments in GLB. Lvl60+ you shall have.
Please make proper adjustments to team replace or forfeit the games the Masons would have participated in.
Finally, good luck to the owners who participate season after season to make it one of the top tournaments, I wish every team good luck in Real.
