Seems like overkill and once again, "fixing" something that wasn't broke int he first place.... lets do some work on the constant catches of deflected passes...... but, that would be admitting the game mechanics are faulty... instead were going to "fix" something anyone can control and choose to do, or not to do, already.... same faulty "thinking" in the developer room.....

I'm not going to go through all 68 pages of this thread, but if I have a % + SA piece of gear, what am I going to be able to trade it in for? I presume I can't get 2 SAs on the same AEQ correct?

The announcement and the "not eligible for full refund" happened at the same time. You made an oopspoo by not reading the announcement when you first logged on.

One thing that's been bothering me about this is the expiration of the refund tokens. It'd be fine if there weren't a 2nd set of moving goalposts being implemented here, since nobody's comprehension of how player builds work would be shifted in any sort of relevant fashion. But if testers are going to be getting inside knowledge of what the SA changes are going to look like before the rollout occurs, it puts certain people at a distinct advantage going into the swap-out. It wouldn't be hard for a tester to see a player perform much better with, say, a revamped Shock Block SA and make the switch before his tokens expire. It won't give players who are getting used to the SA Revolution enough time to analyze this data and make a choice before the tokens expire, though, especially if the people with the inside info are savvy enough not to apply their new AEQ and give the public a sneak peek until after the preseason ends.

This is magnified even further if the testers are leaking this info to their closest peers and teammates. While I can't say this is certain to happen, I don't think many people believe there isn't a single tester with compromised integrity.

That's what you say now, but when you're recycling that flex and continuing to play the game eventually you'll probably dump some more cash in for flex.

That's Bort's master plan with the refund.
