If I have 400 XP right now, I could trade that for 16 TPs which would be reduced to 10 during conversion.

If I save the XP, it will become 500 XP which I could then trade for 14 TPs + bonus for leftovers so likely 16 (of the new, more valuable TPs)?

It's really not a big enough deal to worry about, maybe let the few folks with extra XP just have the bonus

On the other hand, what if someone has 900 XP, do they end up with 1125XP or does that level them up?

Yea, good point, especially on the 1125 XP issue. Guess we'll just let them have the bonus.

Removed this.

I thought this change made all players age the same, so on day 40 of the following season they would be 40 days old.

Season 8 day 0 dots would by 280 days old so you wouldn't get an extra boosts just your normal plateau boosts. Or, I'm totally wrong which wouldn't be the first time.

Dec 17, 2010
- Newly created players created on day 41+ will be treated the same as players created on day 40 (age 0)

you do lose if you have 6 you will lose 2 TP if they do the conversion before nightly training.

If I have a player set to auto quad train and I have 6 TP on rollover to day -8, if they do the conversion first my TP falls to 4, and then when training is processed I'm at 6 when i should have been at 8 and had my training.

Right. But when you get up to the TP needed to train, your training will be worth 1.6x more than it did before conversion.

Can someone please explain why day 1-80 dots are getting a 100% retirement refund? If they are getting rolled back just like everyone else and league ages are being adjusted whats the problem?

Just giving users the option to start the young dots over if they wish.

If we do not start the young dots over, will they be at a disadvantage at any point in their careers?

Let assume you currently get X% to your bar form 2 TPs.

before change : 6 TPs = 3 X
after change : 4 TPs = 2 X * 1.6 = 3.2 X

You actually gain a small training value.

No, they should not be. We're just offering the option for people that wish to start over since it'll be a new system.

isn't 3 times in s8 (or later), the plateau boosts? That is what I came with (to 77). Maybe off a little somewhere. I only seed boosting 3 times in S0 giving you one extra level (like it basically does today)

If you build on day 41, you will be day 279 in season 8 day zero, take your normal 3 boosts, then hit plateau on day 281, take your 3 plateau boosts. It's those last three that you are missing i think...

Well if that's accurate (boost at 279 and 281 in your 8th season), then doesn't that mean there is no reason to boost from 1 to 4?

If you agree with my math here, http://goallineblitz.com/game/forum_thread.pl?thread_id=4674179&page=63#42895347, then boost from 1 to 4 gets you to exactly 78 at d279 vs 77.2 if you don't boost 1 to 4.

Thus, when you boost at d281, you end up capped at lvl 79 either way. Therefore, why would one boost from lvl 1 to 4? It's a waste of flex. Or have I made a mistake?

Should not be or will not be? I really don't want to have to restart 20+ players again.

I'm not restarting my rookie level team. That should answer your question.
