Obviously, you are NOT in customer service business. IF they don't like it, they will go elsewhere with their money.

RL example -- Walmart will always take returns back.. period.. why do you think people keep going back..

Walmart taking returns actually has zero significance on me shopping there, fwiw

This is going to seem likely a silly question but the announcement doesn't make this absolutely clear:

Am I right in assuming that the diminishing returns only occur on the second (or more) pieces of AEQ with the same bonus (break tackle, break block, hold block etc.) and not if you have more than one piece of % AEQ but with different bonuses (ie. a force fumble % and a make tackle %)?

The way I understand it, yes.

If you buffed everything to counter %'s, you would have 50% hold block, (we gotta make pass block work 50% ) so now passblock = 5% per level. Now you have 100% hold block. Now you gotta make shock block work like that. Before you know it the game would be so fucking outta whack. This definitely needs a nerf. The fact we get 25 st sucks since a lot of us spent 100+ but it is what it is....

Help me out, I'm not feeling very mathy right now, but how do you spend 100 sts and still have enough BTs to upgrade all three pieces?

Cool. Did you get my PM? It's pretty relevant to situations like this.

Also, something that you should be concerned about is agents who have bought +% AEQ on younger players solely for the purpose of storing BTs. For example, I have a +2% make tackle piece on my DE that was bought only for the purpose of storing BTs. With this change, I'll be able to trade it in for 25 STs--essentially a trade of 1 ST for 25 STs at no cost to me. I'm sure other agents have done the same thing and are really looking forward to making the trade. I'm not sure how it could be addressed, but it should at least be something that you are aware of.

Not really much we can do about that. It's a one time deal that some people will be able to take advantage of. If you have a +% piece bought before today, you'll be able to swap it.

And you're clearly not either, the customer is not always right . . . . in fact sometimes it's better to not even take their business.

Maybe we can get Bob Saget to do some AFV voice overs

Something I've learned about the forums - they are a very small percentage of GLB's customers. They just happen to be the most vocal. This doesn't mean they are always right. If you went by the forums you would think that 50% of the people who play this game hate or dislike it. Actual numbers? <2% out of 20,000.

That is probably true. You must also consider that some teams rely on the agents active in the forums to keep them up to date on the forums and changes.

Sometimes an agents frustration can rub off onto others. I made this mistake when I was mad about the Archetypes in a team forum. I saw how my bad attitude for that day seemed to rub off like in an office environment. So I had to chill out fast because I personally do not want to be that guy.

My point is that these forums spill over into the team forums very fast. We all have good and bad days but I would not vocally dismiss anybodies opinion just because I think it might be in the minority.

No, it is about customer service and perception on how things are done.. PERIOD..

IF you don't like the way things are done here.. you either stop playing, adapt to the changes or just be like most and don't voice your opinion because you know it doesn't matter..

The customer is rarely right, especially if the "customer" is the frothing-at-the-mouth posters on a forum.

Yeah, if you're flipping burgers or selling electronics, the customer is always right. I manage a high volume auto service station. I'll be the first to say that the customer is hardly ever right. I have a feeling that this is a similar circumstance. Sure, we pay, but do we know what is best for the game.

Do we know what "real" affects our attributes, VA's, SA's and AEQ have on the sim? Unless we are testers, we do not. Therefore, as customers, we are not in the correct position to say what is actually best for the game.

All we know is that our dots rule and we don't want that to change.

The fact of the matter is that it will change, for the overall good.
